---Short Before Action Narration---

December 7th, 1941, Pearl Harbor, the day of the surprise attack on both Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, but also strike attacks on surrounding detached off naval vessels surrounding its waters. A total of 3 separated fronts were created in a matter of an hour of the report on the harbor's sudden and deliberate attacker's arrival. The situation and events spread through the ocean's surrounding the Eagle Union! The navy and its land troops immediately placed into high alert. These detachments move in towards Hawaii, fearful that the attack is only the start of what could be a soon to be land invasion. Of course, after the fact it becomes clear this wasn't the attackers plan, but instead, to cripple the Eagle Union's pacific fleet before it could declare a war onto the Empire of Sakura! With incredible spy efforts, and description of Eagle union codes. The Sakura Empire's many detachable forces that attacked the harbor become aware of two detached force's locations that are within range of attack! These squadron's flagships being USS Hornet, a Yorktown class fleet carrier of which approaches the harbor from the south off the island by 85 miles and USS Kentucky a Iowa class Fast class battleship designed to counter the Sakura's Yamato class, heading towards the Island from the southwest.

Hornets small task force was doing a group training mission when Pearl harbor was suddenly attacked, as for USS Kentucky's group of which consisted of an all-Male group. Was conducting well needed Sea Trials. Up to now USS Kentucky, USS Cowpens, USS Roanoke, USS Alaska, and USS Fargo had yet to be stress tested for any defects created by potential miss manufacturing or miss assembly during ship production before their azuring. Accompanying the vessels to assist in conducting theses' sea trials, was USS Aaron Ward, USS Matthew's, USS Oakland, USS Augusta and as part of diplomatic agreements to increase relations with the Royal navy, and to prove America's vessel readiness, the heavy Cruisers HMS Berwick and HMS Cornwall we're invited to pay witnessed to the trials, to relay the outcome to the Royal Navy admiralty to ensure America's naval strength and readiness. At 8:15 Military time, midway through the attack of Pearl harbor, radio distress signals, and the request of a state of combat readiness and Emergency was declared over all radio frequencies to all vessels in and outside the harbor!

Detailing the situation, and the new state of total war against their attackers. With in seconds both task forces make steam for the harbor, in hopes that they can reinforce and protect the harbor from a potential second or even third wave attack from the enemy. However, these ships would not make it Intime to prevent those attacks. The only ship in the nearby waters to arrive would be USS Enterprise and was Unescorted. Instead, Hornet and Kentucky's separated task forces we're intercepted by detached forces of Akagi's main fleet. Hornet's group being harassed viscously by Zuikaku, Shokaku, a small escort fleet consisting of Sakura and Iron Blood vessels. Is quickly overwhelmed by the surprise ambush. News of this ambush spreads to both Enterprise, and Yorktown whom at this time are the only carriers defending Pearl harbor. Pinned by a second wave of carrier plane's attacking the harbor. Neither can assist their youngest sister in her desperate fight.

Meanwhile Kentucky's group is cut off by IJN Yamato's small, detached group. The intelligence gathered by Sakura Empire had said there would be a substantial sized group of capital, and medium weight vessels, but no carriers escorting them in USS Kentucky's group, this dictated a lack of need for Carriers to escort, or join Yamato's group... A fatal mistake, as Yamato would soon find out. That Kentucky's group in fact had a Cleveland class converted carrier. granted, a very light carrier. But any carrier can make the difference in a decisive battle. However, the carrier is extremely new, only months ago did he complete commissioning, and has yet to complete sea trials to test the amount of punishment it can sustain. It's combat effectiveness is also in the air of speculation, along with its lack in experience... Can it make a difference? It must, if Kentucky's forces fail against Yamato, they will die, and likely so will Hornet's forces, if they can't be relieved...
