Although maraming babae ang nagbibigay ng motibo sa kanya, karamihan pa sa mga iyon ay iniaalay ang mga puri sa kanya. Pinapatulan niya naman pero never siyang pumasok sa seryosong pakikipagrelasyon.

He don't do girlfriends.

He didn't know why he had such a view on love. He wondered why he had such a lack of interest in romantic relationships.

Perhaps he was waiting for the right person to come along at the right time.

"Kumain ka na?" Selene asked, her cheeks slightly puffed from chewing. Theros looked up at her and couldn't help but admire her beauty. Her face was gentle, and her kindness radiated from her. The first time he saw her, he felt a spark of attraction, but he immediately dismissed it because he knew he couldn't develop feelings for his brother's wife.

Theros knew that Czairex loved Selene deeply, and she felt the same way towards him. If Theros developed any feelings for Selene, it would be pointless.

He didn't want to ruin his relationship with his only brother by letting him know that he had feelings for his wife.

Theros cleared his throat and looked away. "Yeah, I already had my lunch before coming here," he replied.

Napatango tango naman si Selene saka ulit bumalik sa pagkain.

Theros excused himself, saying, "I'll just go out for a bit to check the area."

"Sige, sir." Ani Lucas.

Lumabas siya sa silid at naabutan niya ang ilang construction workers na tapos na kumain at ngayon ay masaya ng nagkwe kwentuhan.

Inilibot ni Theros ang tingin. Dahil tanghaling tapat at masyadong mainit ang sikat ng araw ay tanging mga mata niya lang ginamit niya ilibot ang paningin sa kakasimula pa lang na proyekto.

Matagal niya itong plinano pero nitong mga nakaraang tatlong buwan pa lang nasisimulan.

Malawak ang lupain na binili niya. Ilang bahay ang ipapatayo. Nasa lampas treinta siguro. Hindi alam ni Theros kung anong kalalabasan nito pagkatapos dahilan pulos ideya lang ni Selene ang sinunod niya. Magaling si Selene kahit bago bago pa lang ito sa trabaho. At may tiwala siya rito kaya hindi siya duda sa kakayahan nito.

Theros quickly retrieved his cellphone from his right pocket when it rang. He answered the call and saw that it was his secretary, Ricky, on the other end.

"Hello, sir?" Ricky said.

"What is it?" Theros asked.

"Sir, someone is looking for you here in your office," Ricky replied.

Theros frowned. He didn't have any scheduled meetings for today, so he wondered who could be looking for him.

"Who is it?" he asked.

"Ayaw po ipasabi ang pangalan, sir."

Theros heaved a deep sigh again. "Send him or her home. I'm here in Batangas."

"Sige po, sir." Sagot nito at narinig mismo ni Theros na kinausap ni Ricky ang kung sino man sa kabilang linya. Maya maya ay narinig na naman niya ang boses ni Ricky. "Sir, ayaw po e. Hihintayin niya raw po kayong makabalik."
