But where is Seungmin? I sat up and started walking around, searching for Seungmin. I was walking around mindlessly since I've never been here so I don't know where anything is. I would open doors then close them and when I turned around I would forget which doors I checked.
I rounded a corner and bumped into Seungmin, naturally I fell to the ground. I squeezed my eyes shut waiting for my body to collide with the cold floor, but it never happened. I felt an arm around my waist. I opened my eyes and saw his face in front of mine. For some reason it almost felt magical, like the world as we know it could fall apart yet for some reason I would be safe.
He took his arms off me after a few seconds but it didn't feel like that, it felt like an eternity of bliss, staring into each other's eyes, his chocolate eyes staring into my hazel ones. But that was not the case, in fact it was less of the case, these last few days I've seemed to forget this is the rude Seungmin that hardly likes anyone.
"You should pay attention to where you walk." He warns me.
"You came out of nowhere." I fought back, because he did, he almost appeared out of thin air.
Seungmin rolled his eyes at my comment. "Just follow me." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me with him. I had no choice but to follow him so I did.
"Where are we going?" I question him.
"You'll see" He says, making me wonder even more where we could be going. I smelled sweetness in the air, he was pulling me to the kitchen I realized.
"Don't think I did this for you." He states "I was hungry and I could hear your stomach growling from a mile away."
My cheeks turned a light pink, "I'm not hungry but thanks." I told him, hoping he would take the lie. But instead he raises an eyebrow and as quick as time my stomach growls again. I close my eyes in embarrassment.
"As much as I want to believe you, your body speaks louder than your words, I saw the way your face melted to bliss when you smelt my cooking." He tells me, I could practically feel the cockyness of his words radiating off him.
"Fine." I say loudly "What did you make anyways, cereal?" I ask sarcastically, faking my confidence.
Seungmin smirks at this. "No. I made much more." I peek my head from behind his body and check to see what he made, which was in fact a lot more than just cereal. He made waffles, eggs, sausage, and so much more. I gulped my spit down. I shouldn't eat, I remind myself.
"You're eating no matter what you tell me so I suggest you save your words." He says coldly
I open my mouth but no words come out, I simply just stand there. Seungmin smirks at my reaction.
"What? Is your tongue tied?"
"No. I just-" I pause. "Don't want to respond to you." I say unbelievably. Seungmin rolls his eyes sarcastically. I just stand there not knowing what to do. He never told me I could sit down and it's his house so I don't want to do anything without his permission.
"Sit." He says simply while indicating the chair next to him, there is a plate of food at the empty chair, it has a serving of everything Seungmin made.
I slowly walk towards the chair then sit down and look at the overwhelming amount of food on my plate. I pick up my fork and begin eating. And thank heaven that Seungmin wasn't paying attention, because I am one ugly eater.
He finishes before me and washes his plate. He then grabs two thermometers and puts one on top of his still hot stove and another beneath a light.
"What are you doing?" I question him.
"Faking sick with proof." he says as if it was common knowledge.
"But why are you using two thermometers?"
"Because we can't use the same one if we want it to be believable."
"Why are we skipping then?"
"Because of the parent assembly today, we both don't want to go so we are staying home." He emphasizes the don't in his sentence, then continues on with the odd task.
I forgot that assembly was today. I'm glad I don't have to go but missing my classes is so stressful. Seungmin seemed to have noticed the look of distress on my face.
"I figured you would feel stressed because of missing classes but I asked my friend to get the work and I can help you if you want to, but I'm pretty sure you'll be fine with the work."
"And what makes you say that?" I sassily question while rolling my eyes.
"You're a nerd, you're good at school stuff." He says as if it is common knowledge.
"That is so false!" I argue.
"Oh yeah? What are your grades?" He then lifts an eyebrow at me.
My face flushes when I think of my grades and they are all high. "Well- that doesn't matter!"
Seungmin smirked in triumph then shook his head from side to side. He then grabbed the thermometer on the stove and took a picture then the one under the light and took a picture, he sent them both through email saying me and him were sick. The principal, luckily, believed us and he excused our absences.
Seungmin's phone began vibrating a lot, he was getting many messages.
"Why is your phone vibrating so much?" I questioned.
"All of my friends are asking where I am, aren't yours doing the same?"
My face turns crimson."I don't have" I almost thought of saying friends and although that is true it is very embarrassing so I said something else true. "A phone." Seungmin looked at me confused. "Why?" I hesitated, "Well, my father never wanted me to have one."
"Why did you say father, why not dad?" I flinch at the word dad, an outburst growing within me.
Seugmin scoffs at my reaction to the word.
"What are you too soft to hear a small three letter word? Dad dad dad." He taunts me
"A 'dad' would take care of you, and teach you how to play sports, keep you safe from the cruel world and comfort you in times of trouble and need. That man is no 'dad' to me, he is simply my father nothing more nothing less." mocking the word dad, I am surprised by my own outbreak. I see that Seungmin had listened to my words intently. And what he says next simply surprises me so much I can't comprehend.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know how sensitive you were, I should've thought before I said anything." he looks ashamed of himself with the apology that came out of his mouth. I came to my senses with his apology.
"No!" I take a breath before continuing "I should be the one saying sorry I shouldn't have had an outburst on you when you don't deserve it." Seungmin looks confused at the apology, like he feels as if I was not supposed to apologize yet I did.
"Thanks for the apology?" His voice went up near the end of the sentence to indicate he wasn't sure if it was the right response. I just rolled my eyes at his gesture. I heard him mumble but didn't hear his words.
"What did you say?" I wondered aloud.
"Nothing you need to worry about angel." My cheeks burst red and I hid my wide eyes in my palms.
~~
"No, I should be the one saying sorry I shouldn't have had an outburst on you when you don't deserve it." She told me. I was confused, why is she the one apologizing, she has every right to go off on me about being insensitive. I know little of her life and have no reason to question her actions.
"Thanks for the apology?" I say, unsure if it is right or not. She rolls her eyes at me. "I could give you a reason to roll your eyes" I mumble, luckily she didn't catch my words.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing you need to worry about angel." I see her cheeks turn a red color, her eyes wide, she puts her face in her palms to hide her expression, but I can't ignore how adorable she looks, wearing my clothes and hiding her flustered face. God, I am whipped for this woman.
