Liam and Sydney arrived at the school just in time for the bell to ring for second block. Due to the mass of students flooding the halls whilst heading towards their next class, the pair were able to slip through the front doors without being noticed by any teachers. Though they weren't so lucky when it came to overprotective juniors, who just so happened to be their brother. Stiles stepped in front of the two freshmen, his dark brown eyes blazing with rage and his arms crossed over his chest. Sydney was slightly taken aback by his expression, as she was used to see his eyes shining happily and a bright smile in place of the frown.
"Where the hell have you been?" Stiles questioned simply in a motherly tone. Sydney blinked, lost for words as she stared at her older brother, so Liam answered instead.
"We overslept."
Stiles' gaze snapped towards him, where he scowled angrily. "I wasn't talking to you, Dunbar." Liam visibly flinched at his words- not because he felt threatened, but because of the fact that Stiles had just called him by his last name. Despite the fact that they were related, Liam couldn't help but notice how differently the siblings sounded when they called him by his last name, and not just because of their tone. He couldn't help but favorite Sydney's simple, yet sweet nickname for him.
Snapping back into reality, Liam noticed that Stiles was now looking at his little sister once more, his voice surprisingly softer as he addressed the girl.
"Sydney, you have no idea how terrified I was when I walked into your room this morning, only to find your bed empty and your window open. I thought some assassin came in the middle of the night and took you."
Sydney blinked, a sudden wave of guilt washing over her, and she took a step towards her older brother. "Stiles, I'm sorry," she said softly, her words laced with genuine sympathy. Though Stiles only stared blankly at the girl before backing away from the pair.
"I'll see you later, Sydney. Meet me by the car right after school- don't bother socializing."
Sighing in defeat, Sydney turned to the boy standing beside her and pursed her lips. "Come on, we'd better hurry and get to our next class," she said flatly.
As the pair maneuvered their way through the crowded freshman hallway, they attempted to stay out of sight of the Algebra classroom, heading straight towards their next class without another word to anyone. Though their attempt to go unnoticed by their algebra teacher was a fail, as Mr. Andrews stepped in front of the two freshmen as they stepped foot inside the history classroom.
"Mr. Andrews," Liam said slowly, smiling innocently up at the tall man and removing his hand from Sydney's. Mr. Andrews' glasses rested on the bridge of his nose, his brow furrowed and his face pulled into a scowl as he stared down at his two students.
"Where have you been?" He asked simply, cocking an eyebrow as his gaze focused on Sydney, as if he were expecting her to answer.
Pulling her best innocent smile onto her face, Sydney tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "What are you talking about, Mr. Andrews? We've been here all day." She laughed nervously, doing her best of avoid Liam's gaze that she felt burning into the side of her skull.
Mr. Andrews let out a snort of a laugh, though there was no humor behind it. "Good try, Miss Stilinski. According to my subs, the two of you have been missing a lot of my classes, though you were not counted absent for the rest of the day. As it's my duty as your teacher, I am going to have to punish you for ditching class. The two of you will be serving lunchtime detention today." He raised an eyebrow at them, his gaze shifting between them threateningly. "And don't think about ditching this, either. Because there will be consequences."

Sydney arrived in the library before Liam- as they were directed to go for detention. Her stomach was making some pretty odd noises, begging for food, as she had skipped breakfast that morning. Swallowing down the hunger that pained at her insides, Sydney took a seat at one of the many tables in the middle of the library and rested her chin in her hands. She was left to stare at random things around the library, hoping that Liam hadn't decided to bail on her, and avoid Mr. Andrews' glare as he sat behind the desk at the front of the room. Taking advantage of her supernatural hearing, Sydney listened to the conversations going on outside the library, sighing thankfully as she heard a pair of footsteps approaching the library at a fast pace.
"Ah, Mr. Dunbar, glad you could join us," Mr. Andrews droned, causing Sydney's head to snap towards the door as Liam stepped through it. He ran a hand through his spiked hair, ignoring the teacher as he sat down in the seat beside her. He sent her a small, crooked smile, his hand slipping into hers underneath the table as their algebra teacher's monotonous voice met their ears once more.
"Since the two of you rebellious teenagers have decided to repeatedly ditch my class to go do whatever your dirty little minds find fun, you will both be shelving the books neatly and correctly, while I go and enjoy my delicious lunch from Taco Bell with my fellow teachers," he explained, standing up and motioning towards the cart of books beside him. "I expect the two of you to do as instructed, unless you want to enjoy lunch with me tomorrow, as well. Have fun."
As soon as the top of bald head disappeared from sight and the sounds of his footsteps faded away around the corner, Sydney stood up and walked over to the cart of books. Liam took his time behind her, lazily looking around him with his hands behind his back as he slowly approached the cart behind her. Rolling her eyes, her arms filled with books, Sydney headed over to a bookshelf and began stacking them in the correct order.
After her arms were emptied from the load of books, she turned around to go grab another armful, only to come face to face with a smirking Liam. She raised an eyebrow as he took a step towards her and brought his bottom lip in between his teeth.
"Liam?" She giggled slightly and scratched her neck. "You okay there?"
Without warning, Liam hands gripped her waist and he pushed her against the bookshelf, causing the books to rattle from the sudden force. He had never used such strength on her before and she was slightly confused, though she didn't protest as he pressed his chest against her, his lips meeting hers hungrily.
"Andrews was right about one thing." Liam suddenly pulled away from her, his breath hitting her lips and his forehead pressed against hers. He kissed her again, this time much softer, and smirked against her lips. "We're both rebellious."
