We all walked over gathering around the cup pong table. I could see Amari standing there, smiling with the girl that tried to fuck me over earlier. Onto her next conquest I guess. Poor thing doesn't even know what she's getting herself into. I turned to Rylin pulling her into my embrace. "Are you having a good time?" I whispered in her ear.
"Dior?" I heard Milan's annoying chirpy voice echo throughout the room as she belted my name. I turned around pulling away from Rylin before she could see me, I was not in the mood for anymore bullshit tonight. I followed her voice into the crowd to avoid them having to interact around me. Heaven knows I didn't need these two having an informal meeting right now.
"Dior!" She squealed excitedly when she saw me. "I thought we were coming together? I've been looking all over for you." She pulled me all the way across the room to where her three friends stood awaiting our arrival.
Their six eyes pierced into my soul. I felt so uncomfortable especially by the third ones gaze. She had a vile smile and an even more odious face. I looked the other way to try and mentally escape from them.
"So-" the hideous one started, "When you gonna put a ring on Millie's finger?"
I choked on my drink and thought to myself before I spent my money on a ring for this bitch I'd donate some to you for facial reconstruction. Milan smiled and blushed at me awaiting my response. I had to get myself out of this shit. I messaged Willow and begged her to call me ASAP and pretend it was an emergency. When my phone rang I went along with my plan and luckily it was a success.
"Sorry, gotta go, it's an emergency, I'll talk to you later." I swiftly pulled out of her tight hold. I threw her deuces and left trying to cut through the thick crowd to get back to Rylin.
I got back to the cup pong table in time for Rylin's turn. She positioned herself, arching her back to take the perfect shot and score the ball into the cup. She jumped excitedly, man I loved it when she jumped. I was a bit dazed so the events that followed was a blur. All I knew was that Rylin was soaked from the waist down. Her face was a mixture of disappointment and anger as a result of her dress being ruined.
I knew how much tonight meant to her so I wasn't just gonna sit there and let that slide. I don't know what happened, but everyone's attention was focused on the new girl as she frantically apologized to Rylin. That was enough to send me over the top and impulsively do something that I wouldn't regret.
♡ SYAIR ♫
My parents should have named me Fuck Up or FP for short. I could not stop apologizing to the poor girl who I bumped into, ruining her clearly expensive dress.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to." Was I capable of ruining anything else for myself ? "Let me pay for your dry cleaning."
Lord knows I couldn't pay for the dress.
She was desperately trying to soak up some of the mess with napkins. I took the opportunity to show my sincerity by taking some up to assist her and apologizing profusely.
However, as I turned around to hand them to her, there was an instant stinging sensation in my eyes due to liquid being thrown in my face. The cool liquid streamed down the sides of my face staining my now drenched top. I rubbed my eyes harshly from the unbearable irritation. The familiar taste of cheap liquor graced my lips when realization hit.
"Was that really fucking necessary!" I heard Amari beside me. She pulled me towards her while I struggled to regain my sight and see what exactly had happened in the few seconds that my back was turned. The laughing crowd and their shocked outburst didn't help much either, She grabbed my wrist and weaved me through the crowd and guided me into the bathroom. I flushed my eyes with the cold water until I could actually see my reflection clearly in the mirror.
My eyes were bloodshot and my curly hair stuck to my forehead. Amari looked back at me apologetically.
"Is it really that bad?"
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have even allowed that to happen. I don't know what Dior's problem is."
So Dior did this because of the little reporting mishap. Yes, I had taken Jordan's warning into consideration but I didn't expect to be apart of the cliche drink thrown on you at a party incident.
"It's fine, I'll handle it." It was my problem to deal with anyways. I'll give Dior the benefit of the doubt and assume she accidentally missed her step and spilt the drink.
So despite Amari trying to calm me down and pull me back in the bathroom, I barged through the crowd of people searching for that egotistical mop of curly hair. Did I look a mess? Absolutely, my hair was frizzy and drenched with alcohol, not to mention the little bit of eye makeup I had attempted to put on was running down my face. My thin shirt clung to my body from the wetness and left my nipples on full display.
Funny thing is, I really didn't care. My temper always got the best of me in situations and I wasn't about to let anyone think they could walk all over me.
I yelled her name breaking the conversation she was having with her friends. She merely glanced at me uninterested and smirked at my current state.
Without hesitation, I confidently began my rant.
"You had a muscle spasm earlier right, that's why I'm covered in your drink right now?"
"My muscles are quite fine, since you're slow and you need an explanation, I gave you a taste of your own medicine since you decided to fuck with my girl." She said gesturing to Rylin on her lap who seemed to be upset about the embarrassment she had to face earlier.
"It was an accident, I didn't see her and I wouldn't randomly throw a drink at someone."
"Mine wasn't, next time you try to mess with someone's reputation remember there might be consequences before you go running your little mouth."
That's what this really was about the girlfriend line was just a coverup. She didn't seem to have a girlfriend when I was standing in between her legs. Where was the drink to the face then?
My eyes scanned the room frantically looking for something that could be used to shut her up. She was back to ignoring me once again, casually speaking as if I wasn't there. As usual, having my luck there was nothing good in sight. That's when the drink in Dior's hand caught my eye but I doubt I would be able to throw it at her fast enough.
Before I could act on my intrusive thoughts, Amari tugged on my arm and escorted me through the door, holding my hand in an attempt to calm me down.
