TENSIONS were high in the stands and on the field as Shedeur and his team were down by 12 points in the last minutes of the third quarter of the game. Anyone with eyes could see that the starting quarterback was not playing at the best of his ability tonight. There was something on his mind, correction someone was on his mind.

A timeout was called on the Colorado Buffaloes' behalf, resulting in Shedeur shuffling over to his dad who was waiting on the sidelines. Once he took his mic off, Coach Prime became Dad something he rarely did on the field, "why you out there playing like that, dawg? How can I help you help yourself cause this ain't what we do?"

Deion could tell by the distraught look on his son's face that he was head over heels for the girl and them being on bad terms were badly affecting him on and off of the field, "give me 10 minutes."

The team had a quick regroup before heading back on the field to resume the game. As Deion turned his back with his phone placed against his ear, the offensive linemen didn't protect the quarterback and in just a few seconds Shedeur had taken a nasty hit that made some of the crowd gasp in shock while the opposing team's fans cheered as he hit the ground.

Khia's chest burned as she ran as fast as her legs would carry her; it didn't help that she was a chronic cannabis consumer. She had gotten the news via social media that during the game Sheduer had taken an Damar Hamlin like hit on the field and was currently rushing to get to the football field.

They had an argument the night prior and she was still so upset that she decided not to attend the home game today with the other college goers nor did she turn it on ESPN where it was being broadcasted live. Had she not taken a break from her homework, she wouldn't have seen a missed call from Coach Prime or known anything and that was eating at her already.

Determined, she sprinted towards the field but of course she was stopped. Tears accumulated in her eyes while she was being held back by various staff members that worked for the team and school. She couldn't see Shedeur because of all the people surrounding him as he laid on the field and that put fear in her heart.

"I love you, babyboy." Khia managed to sniffled out the three words she had been so scared to admit to him. She hated that it took a moment of crisis for her to finally say it.

Khia wasn't afraid of anything in life except death so right now fear was clouding her mind that she wouldn't be able to love him physically; only in the afterlife.
