waiting for him💔💕

minho listened to jisung's rambling with a blank expression, keeping quiet as he let jisung continue.

"yesterday, me and jeongin, we went to this amazing sushi restaurant, right? and then what was next door to it? but a pet shop! when i looked at the store front again i realised it was the one chan works at! you know, chan, jeongin's older brother? i think i've mentioned that before...but anyway! chan worked there so we went in to say hello, and minho! the animals were so cute! the store had everything! well, maybe not everything, just animals you could have as pets...but even then i don't think they had every animal you could have as a pet."

while walking alongside jisung, minho never failed to notice the few stares he received from other students either passing the pair, or stood around the hallway.

after all, jisung was talking very excitedly, hardly taking a breath in between his speech, all while minho wore a stone cold expression.

it was certainly thought to be an unlikely pairing.

"...and it was so fun!" jisung then gestured out his arms almost as though his excitement at retelling the story had forced his body to react. "i thought to tell you just because i know you like cats, and when i met a little tabby cat called isanghan he really reminded me of you."

"oh really?" minho let out a small puff of air as he held a smile only jisung would recognise.

having reached the end of the hallway, jisung and minho turned to each other, both wordlessly prolonging their time together.

"yeah! if you ever pass there you should go in! i'm sure chan wouldn't mind you calling in just to pet the cats, you could say you know his brother."

minho gave the younger a look. "wouldn't it be easier to say i know you?"

"oh yeah, probably," jisung laughed, his eyes like small crescents as his smile grew. "but even so, chan wouldn't ask you for proof or anything so it's really your choice. oh! i forgot to say where the store is!"

jisung smacked his forehead with a small head shake. he lifted his eyes back to minho and sighed while rolling his eyes at his own mistake.

"it's on the way back from here! well, i mean if you're going that way. if you turn left and just keep going- left out of the car park i mean, since you drive, or you could still do that while walking i guess- erm yeah, if you turn left and keep going straight without turning it's hard to miss. it's big and blue and has a dog bone as its logo and like loads of pet themed things at the store front. i'm pretty sure it's the closest pet shop to here as well, so there's not much competition or pet shops to get confused with."

minho had to bite back a laugh as he nodded.

"thanks, jisung."

"it's okay, minho!" the younger waved down his hand, fixing his backpack strap as he looked over minho's shoulder. "i told my friends i'd meet them for lunch, but i'll see you wednesday?"

the older nodded. "okay."

"cool!" jisung beamed, lifting up his shoulders and dropping his arms back down before he suddenly frowned with a gasp.

"wait," jisung began patting his pockets down before letting out a groan. "i think i forgot my phone. i swear i put it in my pocket because i was on it while waiting for you but maybe it didn't go in or it fell out, i'll have to go and retrace my steps."

as jisung looked back, minho followed with his eyes.

"need help?"

"oh no!" jisung placed his hand on minho's arm as he shook his head. "i won't keep you, minho, i'll be fine! i mean it's not that far of a walk, it's literally just the corridor, besides it'll be fun! well, not fun, but you know what i mean, it's something to do!"
