"We stay here please?"

The thought of being on a different floor of the house away from her mother made her uneasy and she really is enjoying her time with Lila and didn't want to ruin it. Lila just nodded, telling her she'll be back, grabbing whatever she had in mind. Wanda waited patiently, kicking her feet back and fourth.

A few minutes later, Lila came running back with the same big smile on her face. Is she always happy?

"Okay so I got some board games if you want but it's better when there's more than two people and then I have uno, it's really easy to learn but again it's better with more than two players but we can still play it just us if you want and I have my favorite book!" Lila rambled quickly, showing Wanda all the stuff she managed to get down without falling.

Looking at all the options, Wanda started feeling a bit overwhelmed and blindly chose the book not thinking about how she can't read properly, her face turned red with embarrassment and tears threatening to burst. She didn't want to Lila to make fun of her.

"You want to start?" Lila said, not realizing the change of mood Wanda had gotten.

"Can't read good" Wanda mumbled, not looking at the girl next to her.

She waited for the laugh, for Lila to call her dumb and leave her alone not wanting to be her friend anymore but instead Lila just said okay and started reading out for both of them. Wanda let out a big grin, putting her knees up to her chest, her head resting on them as she listened to the girl reading, looking at the pictures there was on some pages.

She liked how Lila didn't make her confession a big deal.

___

Wanda didn't realize how long they've been sitting there until Laura called for them to come for their dinner. She dashed to her mother's lap, hugging her, she missed her.

"Hi sweet girl" Nat smiled, "did you girls have fun?"

"Yeah auntie Nat! We watched a movie then we read my favorite book!" Lila said excitedly, she was happy to have another girl around her age.

"Lila read for me" Wanda said quietly, only for Nat to hear. "Not call me stupid"

The woman felt her heart break at Wanda's words thinking Lila would've made fun of her. "You're not stupid, it just takes time remember?"

Wanda nodded, "movie at home?" she asked, playing with the ends of Nat's hair.

"We can watch it at home too detka but now it's time to eat" she said, patting her back.

___

On their final day at the farm, they decided to play uno together. Wanda getting the hang of it for the most part and Nat gently reminding her the rules when she doesn't, the girl had a big smile on her face the entire time, the sound of her giggles filling the room when she placed a +4 card.

She had two cards left and let out a squeak at how close she was to winning, "look mama"

"I see baby, you're already a master in this" she said, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

Even though no one was playing as teams, Wanda was sat on Nat's lap so the woman was able to see all of her cards but she purposefully played wrong in some turns to get the girl her win. The competitive side of Nat wanted to win, especially against her little sister but the big grin Wanda's face had was impossible for Nat to take the win herself.

She placed a 7 yellow and Wanda practically screamed uno. Just one more turn.

Wanda's last card being a 6 red and when Nat placed a 6 green, she froze for a moment, not sure what she can do. Nat let her figure it out knowing she would and then Wanda gasped, placing her last card on the table.

"I won mama!" She yelled in excitement.

"I'm so proud of you my love" Nat said, covering her face in kisses, with how everyone cheered it was like they've won the lottery.

___

They have many animals Wanda learned, she's been excited to help feed them but she quickly realized she likes watching them from a distance.

Holding Nat's hand as they made their way to the horses, he was big and terrifying to the girl but Nat put her hand out to the horse, stroking his face and that calmed Wanda down slightly. As Nat picked her up to do the same, the horse heard something and moved making Wanda flinch and start crying.

"Hey it's okay, he just heard a bang baby that's all" Nat said, soothing the girl in her arms.

"No more" Wanda sniffled, she was tired and upset.

"Okay, how about we just watch them do all the work" Nat smirked making Wanda giggle with a nod.

"What's your favorite animal sweet girl?" Nat asked, they were sitting down watching Clint feed the horses.

Wanda thought for a moment before answering, "duckies"

She was expecting one of the animals on the farm, "that's a good one detka"

"In the movie" Wanda explained further.

"You saw ducks in the movies?"

She nodded with a toothy grin, "you, mama?"

Nat smiled, cuddling Wanda closer to her. "Mama's favorite is an owl"

Nat looked around, listening as her daughter rambled about ducks, suddenly she felt a weird feeling in her stomach. She brushed it off not wanting to ruin this nice moment with her daughter.

The feeling stayed the entire time even when Clint decided they should go out to eat, Nat just couldn't get rid of this gut feeling that something wasn't right. She carefully looked at their surroundings to see if she can suspect anything or anyone suspicious but there was nothing. Still, she held Wanda a bit closer, Yelena caught her eye giving her a confused look.

"Something is wrong I can feel it" she mouthed to the blonde, she didn't want to alert t anyone else. Yelena kept her face neutral and gave her a small nod, Nat understood that she meant she would also look out for anything weird.

As they paid and left the restaurant, Wanda rubbed her eyes, "mama home" she tiredly mumbled.

"We're going now sweet girl then tomorrow we get to be in our own bed hm?" She stroked her hair.

"Like sleeping with mama"

Nat chuckled, "I know baby, I like having my sweet girl with me too"

They kept walking back, Nat cursing herself that she didn't bring her gun, she always did just in case but this time she didn't. Luckily Yelena secretly showed her she had her knife with her. It relaxed her thoughts a bit.

The person looked over from the high building they were on, spotting the mother and daughter. Their hand pressed on their earpiece.

"Targets are in sight sir"
