✨THE FACE-OFF✨

Haseena's anger and frustration suddenly grew. "Okay... Sir.... Sure..." she said through gritted teeth.

"Good night," the boss ended the call.

"Kya kaha boss ne?" Shivani asked.

"Kya kaam de diya hai...?!" Haseena said in anger.

"And what's that?" Shivani inquired.

"Training new employees. Explaining them about the company's rules, regulations, and procedures," Haseena replied and then drank all the beer in one go.

The next evening, a luxurious 5-star hotel hosted the grand celebration of the company's 50th anniversary. The banquet hall was adorned in a black and gold theme, with decorations perfectly complementing the chosen colors. The guest list featured prominent and highly respected business figures.

Haseena and Shivani made their entrance at the venue, dressed impeccably for the occasion. Haseena donned a sleek all-black three-piece suit, complete with a golden tie. Shivani, on the other hand, chose black pants paired with an elegant white and gold shirt.

Despite the glamorous setting, Haseena's reluctance was palpable, evident from her expressions. Seeing Haseena's less-than-enthusiastic demeanor, Shivani couldn't hide her irritation. She rolled her eyes and then firmly linked arms with Haseena, guiding her toward their colleagues and friends in attendance.

"You are looking stunning yaar...", Haseena's colleague complimented

"Thanks..."Haseena replied with a fake small smile.

"Toh aaj ye Haseena kis Haseen ko phasane wali hai?" Another colleague asked.

Haseena suddenly gets flashbacks with Karishma, how she use to flirt with her. "Tumari bakwas hogayi hai toh excuse me!" In anger, she moves towards the bar.

"Guys kitni baar kaha hai Haseena ke saath ye sab bakwas mat kiya karo!"  Shivani bashed him.

Shivani's close friend colleague asked, taking her aside."Shivani... Sach batao. You like Captain Mallik?"

"Nidhi aisa kuch nai hai... Kahan se aati ye sab bakwas baatein tumare dimag mein?", Shivani denies about her feelings, looking once at Haseena.

"Tum sach bolo ya nai. Saaf saaf dekhta hai," Nidhi confronts

Shivani crosses her arms at her chest. "Batao kya dekhta hai?"

"Peeche 2 saal tum saath rehte ho. Zyada details toh nai pata par itna zaroor pata hai Captain Mallik ke kuch family issues ki wajah se wo ab yahan akeli rehti hai. Aur tumhe sab kuch pata hai kya hua hai. Filhal wo sab se zyada close tum se hai. Unko tum ne sambhal hai... Itni care aur pyaar se unko sambhala, unke gussa ko bhi seh liya, unke liye defensive hona... Itna sab ek pyaar karne wali aurat hi kar sakti hai. Mujhse mat chupao," Nidhi explains calmly.

"Haan karte hai pyaar...",Shivani confesses with frustration evident. "Lekin wo pyaar mujhe nai mil sakta. Wo pyaar kisi aur ke liye tha aur shayad ab wo usse nafrat karti hai. Main Haseena 2 saal se nai 5 saal se janti ho. Maine dekhi hai wo Haseena Jo iss Haseena ki bilkul opposite thi. Pyaar mein dhoka mila hai Haseena ko aur ussi ki wajah se wo itna badal gayi hai. Kaise wo phir se pyaar karle?"

Nidhi advises, keeping her hand on Shivani's shoulder. "Tum at least try kar sakti ho. Training program bahut acha mouka hai. Ek tarfa mat rehne do apne pyaar ko"

"Abhi mujhe kuch nai samjhna. Apni dosti khona nai chahti pyaar ke liye.", Shivani said and goes from there.

Amidst the grandeur of the venue, Karishma and Veyom make their entrance, arm in arm, portraying a facade of a harmonious couple before the assembled guests. Karishma dons an elegant black-to-golden gradient gown with a daring side-slit, while Veyom opts for understated black formal attire. After a significant hiatus, Karishma experiences an unusual connection with the venue, almost as if it's beckoning her. Together, they head towards the gathering of company officials.
