The cracks of thunder bellowed in the sky whenever they'd meet in their dreams.
Their chemical reaction to one another was so forceful it moved mountains and made the ocean furious with her waves.
Lightning stole glances from in between the clouds and struck them with hatred and love.
A love so consuming it picked at their flesh and wounds.
A hatred so evident that sparks flew all over when they were in the same room.
Their war was never going to be over. The old wounds were always reopened by the force of their words and deeds.
Yet, like a moth to a flame, they kept going back to each other.
The waves of the ocean never ceased and it was war at sea. War in the thunderous skies.
And war in their hearts.
Ongoing. Unsolved.
Until one of them succumbs.
