"I'm telling you there's a demon at my place!" Inosuke raised his arms in the air, "It's a thing like this! Like this!"
"No...yeah, that's, um...just wait a second."
Tanjiro sat across from the boy, sweat-dropping as he tried to decipher what Inosuke was gesturing with his hands.
"Like this! Do you understand this?!" The alpha crossed his palms into a spider shape, only serving to further confuse Tanjiro.
"Look, Uzui and Zenitsu will be here soon for our reports, so..." Tanjiro tried to calm the boy down to no avail.
"Like this! I know what they're like!"
"Yeah, okay..."
"Zenitsu isn't coming."
This caught both the boy's attention as they turned, focusing on the back of Uzui's head who was now sitting on the edge of the roof.
"What do you mean Zenitsu isn't coming?" Tanjiro leaned forward a little, worry contorting his features.
"I think I've put you guys in real danger." The white haired alpha muttered, blankly staring down into the streets below. "I wanted to help my wives, but that led me to make some bad choices. Now Zenitsu and (Y/n) are missing. I haven't heard from them since last night." Both Tanjiro's and Inosuke's eyes widened, grief and fear striking their hearts like an arrow. "You two leave the Hanamachi. You're not up to this. If there's an upper-rank demon here, you can't handle it." Uzui pushed himself to stand, arms hanging limply by this sides. "When someone disappears, we must count them as dead. From now on, I'll operate alone."
