"I know you're mad at me."

Umangat ang tingin niya, meeting mine.

"I, myself, is shock of what I said." I rolled my eyes remembering that embarrassing moment.

Seriously, khai? Paying someone?

Wala siyang naging reaction at ngumiti nang pilit.

"I'm sorry,"

Umangat muli ang tingin niya but with wide eyes this time. He seems so shock by what I said. "H-huh?"

"I'm sorry. If I offended you or something. Believe me, I didn't mean it. That was so stupid of me." Nadala lang ako.

Right. After Mike's words, my head grow bigger. For a second, I thought I'm someone who's respected by everyone, I forgot how to respect them.

"But believe me, I mean nothing by that. Hindi ko talaga sinasadya. I guess I got too carried away by emotions."

Unti-unting sumilay ang ngiti sa kaniyang labi tila nakahinga nang naluwag. Humigaw siya sa damuhan. His hands are crossed against each other, serves as a pillow to him.

We're currently at the school field. Dito kadalasan nag pra-practice ang mga soccer or students who have projects that requires spaces.

"Pfft- pinakaba mo 'ko, khai."

I raised my brow.

"Akala ko kung lumalabas ang kulay mo."

My brows creased.

*sigh* "hay nako, kuya cardo."

"The heck is wrong with you?"

Ngumiti siya sakin nang nakakaloko. "Khai, diba mayaman kayo?"

"What?"

"Mayaman kayo diba?"

Again my brows creased. "No."

Umasim ang muka niya tila hindi naniniwala. "Liar."

Inirapan ko na lang siya't humiga rin sa damuhan. Magtatanong hindi rin naman pala maniniwala.

"I am not, rich. My mom's an architect, I guess we're just financially stable." I clarified.

"Eh? Yung step dad mo? Diba mayaman 'yon?"

"Dad has his own real estate company. But it's not ours, not mine, not Mom's."

"Eh, sa inyo parin yon."

I rolled my eyes, even though he can't see it. "It's not. Maybe, Aidan's. But not mine. I'm just the 'step-child'."

Hindi siya nakaimik. Inangat ko ang tingin at doon ko lang na realize na nakatitig pala siya sakin. "Hindi mo man lang inisip na baka pwedeng mapasayo 'yon?"

Nangunot ang noo ko, not getting what he means.

"I mean, the Frilles owns the most successful real estate company in the Philippines, they also ranked top 7 in Asia. Don't you think that's such a big lost?"

I chuckled sarcastically and looked away.

Don't I? Of course I don't. I would be an abuser if even in my dreams I would dream to have a right on Dad's money. After everything we're hiding from him, after the betrayal he felt after finding out my identity. How dare I dreamed of something higher than having him as my Dad. He gave me a complete family. A hard working dad with a loving wife, a silly brother, and a messy dog. He gave me enough than what I deserve. How could I ever asked for more.
