''Please, call me Vince'' He purrs. It sends shivers down my spine.

I swallow hard as I nod.

''I hope your husband doesnt mind me stealing you for a moment..''

''I think it's quite alright'' I chuckle awkwardly so as to not offend him.

He smiles approvingly as he spins me around. As we move along the ballroom I try to scan for Ghost. He is nowhere in sight, and I don't dare to touch my earpiece when I am this close to Vince.

I try to remain calm but my nervosity is rising.

Vince must have read my expression as he pulls me closer.

''Nervous aren't we? I can't say i blame you..'' He chuckles, as he brings his mouth closer to mine.

''I guess that's just the effect i have on beautiful women''

I let out a soft fake chuckle. God, this man is getting on my nerves.

The music slowly comes to a stop. He bows towards me, I bow in return.

''You must be thirsty..'' He says softly. ''May I offer you a drink?' He extends his hand.

I hesitate. Can I refuse? I really want to find Ghost. The fact he hasn't emerged from the crowd yet, makes me a bit uneasy.

I look around. ''Maybe i should find my..uh..husband''.

''He won't mind. Come one, it will only be a minute.''

''I really should..''

Then he grabs my wrist, more forcefully.

''You wouldn't want to offend me..would you Katerina?'' He says my name in such a way I know I can no longer refuse. His tone is demanding, leaving no room for an argument.

I swallow hard as I nod. Allowing him to pull me from the dancefloor towards the bar on the other side of the room.

Goddamn it Ghost, find me already. Where is that man?

In the corner of my eyes I see a few henchmen following us. Only a few, where did the rest of them go?

I feel uneasy. I gotta think of something fast, find Ghost and regroup.

On the other hand, this could be my chance to question Vince.

I jolt out of my thoughts as I heard some static over my earpiece.

I quickly hold it in place with my gloved index finger, my heart pounding in my chest.

Come on Ghost, come through.

A few more crackles, and then. Nothing.

Useless piece of equipment.

We come to a halt at the bar, the henchmen taking their positions around us.

''The usual, " Vince says towards the bartender with a sly smile.

She nods and starts mixing the drinks.

I glance over my shoulder. The other guests seem to dance and chat again, the orchestra continuing their repertoire.

''Do you always ask a random girl to dance with you?'' I ask, trying to break the ice.

Vince chuckles. ''Only one lucky girl''

''I see..'' I frown a bit, why would he do so if he only invites couples? To show his dominance?

'Not all husbands like it..'' It's like he read my thoughts. ''But i enjoy their discomfort''

''Show your dominance huh?'' I blurt out.

Vince chuckles at that. ''Precisely, the whole party is ofcourse my way of showing how i am the top dog.''

Yikes, I already suspected it. But to hear him actually admit it is something else.

''And why me?'' I ask, raising one eyebrow.

The bartender hands us our drinks, I nod politely as I take mine.

''To you, my dear Katerina' He says with a flirtatious smile as he holds his glass to toast.

I hold mine up as well, meeting his gaze as we both take a sip.

''You want to know why i picked you?'' Vince chuckles after a minute or so as he takes a step towards me.

I watch him move but suddenly it's like he is walking in slow motion. I squint my eyes to focus, but my vision is becoming blurry. What the hell?

I grab the bar counter to stabilize myself as it clicks. No..He couldn't have spiked it. Why would he? I saw the drink being poured..we were given the same drink.

My head is spinning as I feel two henchmen both grab one of my arms.

''Because..Katerina...'' Vince smirks amused at my state. ''We have one thing in common..''

He grabs my chin, tilting it up a bit to make me look at him.

''We are both not who we say we are..'' He says softly, letting out an unsettling chuckle.

His comment sends a wave of panic through my body. But it's too late. I buckle through my knees as my body goes limp. My glass shatters on the floor as my hand falls open. The henchmen are holding me up so I don't plummet to the floor.

''Take her away.'' Vince commands. One of them nods at Vince as he throws me over his shoulder.

I can't fight, as I'm not even able to draw my gun in this state.I try to register where he takes me, my body dangling, but the second he sets foot in the hallway I feel myself lose consciousness.
