We got to the mall in town and Emma rushed me straight into many shops, I came out with about five new skirts and shirts and some new tops, mainly crop tops. We had already been out for three hours and I was beginning to get hungry so we headed to the food court. We went straight to her favorite restaurant and ordered.

"So... I was thinking, we need to get you a dress for the funeral." She says, trying to keep the mood lightly as she spoke, but failed.

"Wow. Erm... I hadn't thought about that. I don't really have any dresses to wear so that is a really good idea." I say and she nods. "Can we talk about something else please, I'm trying to forget about that for a while." I say and she nods and smiles at me sympathetically.

"Okay... are you going to the party tonight. It's Jake's birthday party and it is supposed to be an amazing party. Luckily for you, I was able to get two invitations as well." She says and I smile thankfully.

"So who did you snuggle up to to get them then?" I ask her with a laugh and she smiles.

"Well I may have told him that I would go as his date." She asks and my eyes widen.

"You and Jake Rookes?" I ask and she smiles and nods.

"We were talking the day after I got back from Spain about it and he was saying that he needed a date and he was really sweet and then he asked me!" She squeals and I laugh. "So, that means that I got a ticket and was able to squeeze in another ticket for my best friend." She says and I smile.

"That's good. But I'm not sure I'll go." I say and he smile falls slightly.

"Oh please. You on't even need to drink or anything. I just need my best friend there to keep me alive." She says and I laugh but shrug. "Please, for me?" She asks and I send her a glare.

"You did not pull the for me on me did you?!" I shout at her and she smiles.

"Oh but I did." She says and I just roll my eyes and sigh, signalling to her that I would go, she squeals and then our food comes. I look at the waiter to see the one and only, Ryan.

"Jesus." I mumble and Ryan looks at me and gives me a sad smile and walks away. I am left shocked as he leaves and I look at Emma to see a sad expression on her face.

"Hey, what's your problem?" I ask her and she sighs.

"Ever time I see him I remember what happened to us and it brings all the regret back to me." She says and I smile at her sadly and grab her hand comfortingly.

"Well you don't need to because you are forgiven and is in the past." I say and she nods. "Now if you will excuse me, I need to sort something out." I say and squeeze out of the booth we were sitting at. I begin to walk he way that Ryan had walked and when I found him, he was serving a table. I wait for him to finish and then he turns to me and looks at me surprised.

"Anna?" He asks and I just look at my feet.

"Can I please talk to you for a minute?" I ask him and he nods cautiously. "Alone?" I ask him and he nods and leads me to an empty part of the restaurant.

"I'm sorry." He says and I nod slowly.

"Look... What you did really hurt me and I think you know that, but I am willing to out it all behind us if you are?" I ask and I see a small smile form on his lips.

"Of course I am. Does that mean you'll take me back?" He asks and I break his hopeful gaze and look at the floor for a second, trying to figure out how to say no. His hand comes beneath my chin and lifts my head up to face him. He looks into my eyes and then begins to lean down, closing the gap. I do at first but then I am snapped back into reality and pull away from him.
