Chapter 15

Finneys pov:

In finneys dream:

Billy was walking up the stairs

'No dont go' I try to say but no noise comes out

He opens the door

The grabber was right there 

'NO' I try to yell again

"You have to watch you cant change the  memory" micky says

'Micky' I think

"Yeah, yeah kid it's me it's going to be alright you saved him from this fate" micky says

'I did' I think

"Yep" micky says

There he is billy showalter the sunshine boy the normal kid the paper boy the one Griffin 'fights' with all the time the one who told me not to go up the stairs the one getting beat with a belt

Never again will my boys be hurt like this

(Time skip)

I jolt awake to my Alarm going off

I get ready to go to school

"Good- whoa Finney what happened to your hair" Gwen asks

"Gwen what are you talking about" i asks

" did you dye your hair You look so much like mom right now don't let dad see you" Gwen says

I run into the bathroom

And I see my mom but it's a younger version with brown eyes instead of her vibrant green ones

It's me

This has never happened before

My hair still had the caramel color but I also had almost vibrant red highlights

"Shit" I say

(Time skip)

I didn't have time to do anything with my hair so we just went to school I kept getting weird looks but that didn't matter to me

" hey Gwen what's the date" I ask

" it's the 3 of January" Gwen says

I freeze today is the day that Vance is supposed to get kidnapped I've already been here 3 months ok Vance said I would see him today it's going to be okay I just have to watch out for a black van

(After school)

I look at my watch he's not here

I decided to go to the grab n go

I buy two grape sodas and two orange sodas plus two green sodas (two of every flavor) I also get chips and sour skittles

I leave the grab n go and check my watch 3:38 I have time Vance gets kidnapped at roughly five so about an hour and a half also I took the day off work for this I have been doing that on the days the boys have been getting kidnapped so that i have the whole day to keep them safe but I can't find Vance

I suddenly hear struggling from behind the grab n go I don't want to go back there this is wear robin got kidnapped I push through and go to the back only to see a guy standing as like a guard dog and I see Vance getting held back I pull out my pepper spray and taser I set down my bag and go up to the guard

"What are you doing here kid scram" the guard said

I sprayed him with pepper spray and kneed him in the balls I walk past him and tased the boy who was holding Vance and also pepper sprayed the boy
I did the same for the other with a knee ti the balls Al well I grabbed Vance's hand and ran grabbing my bag on the way out

We end up at the park and then Vance finally speaks

"I think I finally figured you out a bit at least a little bit" Vance says

"What was there to figure out" I say

"Your a kind but badass kid who would do anything and I mean anything for his friends and family or what he considers family at least and definitely didn't have a normal childhood and maybe something happened to your mother who you were real close with" Vance says

"That's what you got from me and how did you know about my mother" I say

"I don't know it just fit" Vance says

I laugh

"Your also someone I would like to be friends with do you mind if I hang with you and your loser friends" Vance asks

"Of course not Vance" Finney says

"Cool" Vance says while trying to hide a smile

I smile back

"Anyways can we talk about how badass that was of you" Vance says

"Okay I'll admit that was pretty badass I felt badass" I say

"As you should" Vance says

There's a moment of silence

And then we just start laughing so hard

We eat the chips and candy I got plus the sodas

After awhile I offered to walk him home and he agreed

I waited anxiously to see that disgusting black van but it never came and then I knew I saved vance hopper I just need to save Bruce and the Robin

Robin would be easy

But how the hell an i supposed to talk to Bruce I mean I guess I could talked to him about baseball right or that I work for his parents would that work?

Me and Vance walked in a comfortable silence just enjoying each other's company it was refreshing not have a chaotic energy not that he didn't love the others and Gwen it's just that they were crazy all the time no breaks but he still loved him

Vance broke the silence

"There's one thing I forgot to add"Vance says

"Oh yeah what's that" I said

"Your severely misunderstood people see your kindness as a weakness but you can use it as a strength which not many can do " Vance says

I tear up a bit

"Thank you" I say

"For what telling the truth everyone needs to hear it at some point in there life" Vance says

"Still thank you" I say

"Of course we're friends right"Vance says

"Yeah"Finney said

Finney liked the sound of that
