𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗘 promised her middle child she would blab a word of his first kiss to any of the neighborhood ladies that stopped by her shop to talk the latest town gossip while getting their hair styled and one of her clients mentioned her kid and asked about Pascale's boys.
it just rolled off her tongue. She obviously regrets not saying the boys were all doing fine but what was the worst to happen.
that was just two weeks ago and everything was sound, until today, charles was on his normal school route to the cafe to purchase himself some lunch from the canteen when some older boys stopped him in his tracks.
They were teasing him about having his first kiss with joaquin. Knitting his eyebrows the young boy was baffled he hadn't ushered a word about the kiss he shared with his friend weeks ago to any of his friends at risk to save himself from the relentless teasing. he gulped his mother must've talked, he was hurt.
"Hey Marco, Micheal why don't you find someone to pick on your own size." charles heard a familiar female voice tell making him sigh, he wasn't going to hear the end off it. Joaquin saving him from bullies. How pathetic.
The boys mumbled off before they scurried back to wherever they came from. "aww charlie baby has to have his girlfriend fight his battles?" one of the taller boys teased dauntingly making the girl who stood only a few feet behind even more mad.
joaquin stormed up to the blond who taunted charles and easily gave him a piece of her mind, once the boys had enough of the lower classmens jabbering voice they promised to not bother charles again.
Joaquin meet up with her friend and she was beyond pissed. Ever since she arrive at school, she's been getting rude stares and people whispering making her feel ugly. Joaquin had enough the whispers that followed every time she roamed the corridors of her school so she played detective and easily found out what the whispers were about.
finding out that the girls were whispering about the kiss charles and her shared made her feel a way, she felt used the way everyone spoke about the kiss even though she was the one who kissed charles and not the other way around.
"what the fuck charles, you just had to open your mouth, now the whole school knows we kissed." She hissed waving her hands dramatically to stop herself from the urge to punch her friend.
her words stung. it felt like daggers, charles never seen his friend this mad at him or practically anyone for a matter of fact.
"I promise Jackie, I never said anything the only people was my mam—oh my God no." He grumbles quietly covering his face in despair and embarrassment. "what is it charles?" joaquin now pleads seeing how horrified her friend looks, he was so close to crying over the situation.
"I told me maman and she must've said something, GodI am so sorry joaquin. please forgive my ignorance." He starts making joaquin giggle, all was forgiven in that moment.
joaquin moved closer to her friend and rests a reassuring hand on his shoulder before kissing the boy on his cheek, his skin was burning red at her touch. "all's forgiven char, next time keep our business only between us." She laughs quietly gesturing between the two of them, nodding profusely he promises his friend to not speak a word of their business.
he wouldn't want a repeat of this ever again.
