"Okay, I don't know if someone's listening in right now so I'll put it like this." Jim stated before taking a deep breath. Got it?"
"Yes I did." I muttered to myself from behind a nearby tree.
How does he know galactic? Oh nevermind, I've gotta tell Scar, but maybe in English. I laugh quietly at myself before continuing to listen. I quickly noticed that they stopped talking though, I felt the air was tense.
"Howdy Cub!" Someone whispered.
I held back a yelp and quickly turned to see Jevin standing there with a smile.
"Jevin! You scared me! What are you doing here?!" I whisper yelled, trying not to get caught.
"Well I saw you run after them, so I followed you! Curiosity got the best of me!" Jevin replied before peaking around the tree he was taking cover with. "So what'd I miss?"
"Not a lot, it's been quiet for a good long while, and tense. Oh also, that Jimmy guy knows Galactic, apparently Grian does too." I respond peaking around my tree as well.
"I thought his name was Timmy?" Jev questioned.
I had to hold back a laugh. "After all of what I explained, that's your only question?" I asked, hiding behind my tree again with a silly smile.
He fully hid behind his tree as well and looked over at me with a sly smile, "Well, yeah! I've been calling him Timmy for the last five minutes!" He laughs quietly.
"Silly slime." I smile and shake my head.
He shrugged and we went back to trying to watch, apparently we missed something because now they were hugging.
"Man, missed something." I frowned, still trying to listen in.
"Hey, Cub? When X announced we'd get new members the other day, you said you had your eyes on someone and told me to come over to find out, but I never did. Could you tell me who it is now?" Jevin questioned quietly.
I looked over at him, blushing slightly and noticed he was blushing too.
I grinned, "If you remember correctly I also used a winky face." I stated going back into cover, seeing Jevin already back here.
He looked at me dumbly. "Yeah?"
I couldn't help but laugh slightly, "Oh you're oblivious, you're lucky you're cute!" I said leaning against the tree.
"I- what?" He fumbled.
"What what? I said you're oblivious and I stand by it." I smile cheekily.
"You- me- I- ooh, I'd curse you but you're so lucky I can't pull myself to do it!" Jev whisper yelled.
"Fuck."
Me and Jevin jumped at the new voice and I slipped and fell on my ass. I looked up and it was Grian basically glaring daggers at us.
"Jevin. Cub. How much did you hear?" Grian asked angrily.
Damn, I didn't think he could get angry.
"Oh Y'know, just to the point where you speak GALACTIC!" I exclaimed as Jevin helped me back up.
"And how do you know what Galactic is?" Grian questioned, raising a brow.
"I'm a Vex! I'm fluent in everything!" I responded somewhat truthful.
"And I'm a Parrot, I repeat what I hear. I can hear someone else say something and repeat it till I learn it." He said, sighing disappointed.
"Yeah, so where'd you learn?" I crossed my arms, glaring.
"Y'know what! I'm not going to fight with you, just promise you won't tell anyone what you heard or saw." He looked between us.
"And why should we?" Jevin asked.
"Guys, please. I don't need anyone else worrying." Grian sighed, looking down.
I hesitated for a moment, If I say nothing I risk them getting hurt, if I say something I'd be causing Grian to not trust me. Damnit. I guess information is more important then spilling the little I have now.
I sigh as well, "Fine, I'll keep quiet. But I want in more of the secret meetings."
Jevin nodded, "Me too, we're in this all together."
"Sure, just no telling anyone." Grian accepted it.
I grinned. He didn't say anyone in specific, I'll tell Scar later when I know more. Till now, this promise will hold, temporarily.
