Darkness.
Pitch black darkness.
All I see for miles on end.
"Hello?" I called out to no one in particular, not knowing whether I wanted an answer back or not. Having no collective memory of how I got her in the first place. I decided to try once again "Hello?!" silence, only one thought came to mind. Fuck. Wandering aimlessly around, the now dubbed, void, hoping for some sign of well something, there was a gravily old voice. "How small you are for such a big destiny ahead of you" My entire body froze. Ah, fuck me. I know that goddamn voice all too well, ya know, Merlin being my comfort show since the first lockdown of 2020. However, me being the absolute chaotic person I am, replied with "God? Is that you?" no answer, figured as much.
Not even a minute or so later, a blinding light had engulfed me, making it so I had to cover my eyes, expecting there to be at least some pain, however, there was no burning sensation but the sounds of birds chirping and trees rustling in the wind? 'Okay, what the actual love yourself: Tear album by BTS is going on here? How aren't I dead? More importantly, where. the. hell. am. I?' Surely this must be heaven. Everything is so peaceful. My fingers curled into the palm of my hands, feeling the fallen leaves crumble under them, hearing the satisfying crunch. I took a deep breath of the fresh air that surrounded me and breathed out a sigh of relaxation. I slowly opened one eye to reveal a bright blue sky with foliage covering most of it which confirmed my suspicions that I was most likely in the middle of a forest, god knows where. I laid there for what felt like a solid few minutes, mentally preparing myself, both physically and mentally, for the adventures that are certainly about to happen. Hoisting myself up into a sitting position, I get a better view of the forest that's surrounding me. I could feel a light breeze surrounding me, blowing cool air subtly pushing against me and that's when I noticed that my clothes had changed from my usual pair of jeans, singlet and my lucky red flannel to a creamy coloured chemise (basically a undershirt) a white petticoat and a simple brown bodice that was laced perfectly around my stomach and breasts. Goddamn, I look good! It wasn't until the chirping of the birds above brought me out of my own thoughts of admiration and back onto the forest ahead.
'Well damn. I have absolutely no navigation skills but that never stopped me before!' and with that thought in mind, I stood up abruptly, causing myself to become very lightheaded but forced myself to carry on and with that, my journey began.

'Nope.' was the only thing going through my mind at the moment. I've been wandering around the god forsaken forest for what feels like hours but since I didn't have any kinda time on my person, I had no idea how long I've been here.
After being stuck in my own head while walking, I finally realized that the grass and fallen leaves had been replaced with gravel underneath my feet and came to a sudden stop and recognized the place I'm at. 'Isn't this the same place the first episode of Merlin starts? Wait, if it is, then where the hell is Mer-' my thought stopped there as someone had accidentally stumbled into the back of me. I looked over my shoulder and saw Colin Morgan or apparently, in this case Merlin in all his glory with his small backpack loosely hanging from his shoulder. My mind went completely blank 'THE Merlin, the feared Emrys is standing right in front of me, okay, just fangirl inside your head okay? HOLYSHITAAAHHHH!' I didn't realize I was just staring at him as I was lost in thought until he had waved his hand in front of my face "hmm? oh yeah sorry-" I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding. He simply just smiled "It's alright, where are you heading to?"
"Camelot" I slightly stuttered, trying to remember english.
His eyes seemed to light up slightly after I mentioned Camelot. "I'm heading there as well! Care to join me?" He asked, giving a small smile. Jesus take the wheel. Realising that i still couldn't actually speak words at the moment, I nodded my head and with an "Alright" from Merlin, we were off.
With Merlin enthusiastically clambering up a steep hillside, while I tried my best not to collapse after all the sudden exercise I'd done. It was the last climb of a long journey...
Thank Loki.
