'I wish someone had warned me when I was younger.'
It isn't easy being a jujutsu sorcerer.
Sorcerers have the ability to see curses and use cursed energy. But cursed energy, like actual curses, relies on negative emotions, and that can become a heavy burden.
It means sorcerers have to embrace dark feelings of anger, grief, pain, and fear, while at the same time controlling them. The life of a sorcerer holds little room for joy, and when it does, it's quickly chased away by responsibility.
Hunting curses and dealing with constant pain is hard enough, but the plights of a sorcerer's life don't stop there. Families play a big role in sorcerer society, and many of them aren't ideal.
When someone becomes a jujutsu sorcerer, they must acknowledge a very important fact of life: no matter how many cursed spirits and curses they destroy, there will always be more.
Curses are born from the negative energy humans produce, so it's a never-ending cycle of death and destruction.
'We are not haunted by the dead. We are haunted by the living and the graveyard of memories they leave in our heads.'
