The six were walking supposedly back to where they began, but they found a huge herbivore blocking the path. That indicated they were going the wrong direction because they never came across a Sinoceratops. Darius said, "It's blocking our path."
Yaz suggested, "We should turn back."
They look back and heard a roar. Kenji asked "Is that—"
"Toro? Yeah," Ben interrupted him, "That roar STILL haunts my dreams."
Kenji suggested, "We should sneak past it."
Yaz rejected the suggestion, "No way. It could smash us like bugs."
Kenji argued, "But Toro's RIGHT THERE and DEFINITELY not asleep."
Brooklyn sided with Yaz, "Yaz is right, we have to go back. Going through the Sinoceratops would mean being pressed against the wall and not being able to come out."
"Sneaking past is our only option!" Kenji whispered.
Yaz told him, "You can't know that. Let's go back the way we came, and find a different way through."
The roar was closer. Kenji told Darius, "We don't have time to find another way. We should sneak past it."
Brooklyn protested, "No. We need to retrace our steps."
