Chapter Six: Shadows

Nameless POV

I emerge from the red smoke. How is it that I remember being dragon but human? Two perspectives, in one. I look down at my hands. Everything looks like I'm human, yet I know I'm not.

"You emerged." Lily states.

I look up at her,"Do I pick a new name?"

"If you want." Lily replies.

"Sylvia." I reply.

Lily nods and pushes me towards a mirror. In front of me is a slender women with large muscles, blond hair, small nose, black eyes, and long legs and arms. I'm tall. My senses are enhanced. I look at Lily and chuckle at my old work.

"Nice feathers." I comment.

She just huffs and crosses her arms.

Lily's dragon runs in worried until she sees us and calms.

'Congratz.' she says in my head.

I nod to her.

"Well, your an official dragon soul." Lily says with awe.

I grin widely,"I am EPIC!" I cry throwing my hands up in the air.

"Sylvia. Come on, we have visitors today." Lily pleads.

"Nope. They are disturbing my training. So they can suck it and wait." I retort and continue.

"Fine. If you get in trouble, it isn't my fault." Lily says walking away.

I hate visitors, they just stare at you making you uncomfortable in your own home. It's been a year since I left my twin behind with my parents. Some people worship me or hate me. I just want to be friends and not have people cowering away or glaring at me as I walk by. Suddenly the chattering quiets down. Our guests have arrived.

I hear a faint voice echo through out the cave,"As some of you know, I am the devil. The main one that controls all the others that are gods. Well I'm above them and is a fate. Now, I have heard that my mate is supposed to be here. So if you will remain quiet, I will see which one of you it is."

I ignore the cries of girls as he walks past them and start working on summoning weapons of war out of fire and shadows to cover myself and create images of myself around the room. Suddenly a loud roar shakes the cavern and the mountain.

"She was wrong!" He yells.

"Sir." I hear Lily says quietly.

"What?" He snaps.

"Sylvia is still in the training room. Maybe she is it." She says quietly.

"Why isn't she here?" He yells annoyed.

"She says,'Their disturbing my training time so they can suck it.'"

"Show me. She will be punished, mate or not." He growls.

Gasps are heard and I hear heavy footfalls. I don't turn around when I hear them at the enterance. I focus shaping a mighty serpent out of the flames. It sways to my movement as I move back and forth until I point to a target and point around the room. It attacks what ever I point to.

Wows and cools are heard.

Until the fire is pulled out of the air and I watch it swirl until it disappears with a small pop. I turn and glare at the man aka the devil that ruined my serpent. As our eyes make contact he lets out a loud growl and I remain in my place shocked.

Then he smirks,"You didn't come to greet me."

"Yes because when ever people come, they stare at you like your a freak." I retort annoyed. Just had to be the devil.

"I thinks it's time for your punishment." He says smirking, eyes going black.

"How about no." I retort and he gets angry.

He bursts into flame and gets larger turning into a demon. My anger flares with his and my figure is covered in shadows until I feel myself get taller. Shadows surround me with purple eyes peeking out of the shadows. He looks shocked and goes back into his human form again. I cock my head and the shadows diminish so I can fly out. I head out of the cavern and the mountain. The devil follows me to a large tree that I land in and calm myself as I gaze across the tree tops.

"I am sorry for angering you." The devil says.

I shrug my huge shoulders. He grabs my snout and forces me to look into his eyes. His are red with orange swirling in them.

"You have beautiful eyes." He states.

If dragons could blush, I would be right now. Curse this mate bond.

He smiles with his needle point teeth showing. Demons are scary when they smile. He grabs my arm and I feel as if I'm falling. Suddenly it stops and my stomach lurches. I look around and see that I'm in a large house. Hell.

"Welcome to my home. Now it is ours." He states happily.

I frown,"Why not live on Earth?"

"Oh. Yeah. I also have a house up there. But you need to go to college since you only 19." He states.

I groan,"I HATE SCHOOL!"

He laughs,"A good sleep is in order and tomorrow you start college."

I frown as I follow him to a room.

"This is our room."

"Wait. Our? Sorry. I am not sharing a room with you." I say not changing back to human form yet.

"You do and you will. Now shift and put some pj's on." He commands.

I growl lowly but the change happens magically and pj's are put on me. I go and lay on one side of the bed. Farthest from him sulkingly. Just before I fall asleep, I hear him scoot over and pull me closer to his chest.

"Good night my fiery one." He whispers in my ear before I fall asleep.
