Melo's POV

Your boy is the big 22!!!!

Ana threw me this big ass party even though I said I didn't want anything

I was grateful for the party though because we haven't been on the best of terms..yet she still showed out for me

I walked around and thanked everyone for coming as Ana went the opposite way and did the same

I spotted Ana's new found best friend Karin standing by the kitchen and talking to some dude

I walked over to her and thanked her for coming as the dude walked away..I wish I hadn't because as soon as I opened my mouth summer and Jayson walked over to us

Jayson: "happy birthday bro" he said as he dapped me up

"Thanks gang" I smiled

My eyes damn near fell out of my head once I looked at summer

Summer: "what he said" she smiled as she held onto his arm

"Thanks and thanks for coming" I smiled awkwardly

Karin: "where's Ana? I tried calling her but I think-"

Summer: "baddie with a fatty.. front, left" she said lowly but not low enough that I couldn't hear her

I looked at her but it was like she was looking past me

Jayson: "and that's my cue, appreciate ya" he said as him and summer did a complicated ass handshake

I watched as he walked away and headed for the girl summer was talking about

Karin: "must y'all do this everywhere?" She asked clearly annoyed

Summer: "you wish it was you huh?" she laughed before walking away

I thought they were friends

Karin: "I'm gonna go find Ana" she said before walking away

I nodded and followed after summer who had walked outside

"Hey, wait up!" I said as I followed her

Now was my chance to talk to her

Summer: "wassup?" She said sweetly as she turned around

"Your good?"

Summer: "I'm fine" she shrugged

"Did you eat?"

Summer: "now you sound like Duce" she said as she rolled her eyes

"Duce? That's your man or something?"

Summer: "no it's jayson's family nickname" she giggled

Well now I felt dumb

Summer: "you know you should be in there enjoying your birthday party right?" She asked as she sat down on the front step

"Can't enjoy it if my guest are beefing"

Summer: "we aren't beefing. She's just having a Kari moment"

"I'm assuming that happens often"

Summer: "kind of..before it was just her whining about little stuff but now I think she's lost her damn mind"

"I feel like arguing with your friends is normal though" I said as I sat next to her

Summer: "sure but accusing them of fucking each other isn't"

"Well damn" I said which caused her to laugh

Summer: "she has a crush on jay and as you can see he's not interested in her so she's blaming me"
