Chapter 5 : Testing Grounds - Part 1

Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College), commonly referred to as Tokyo Jujutsu High, is one of only two jujutsu educational institutions in Japan dedicated to fostering the next generation of jujutsu sorcerers.

Tokyo Jujutsu High serves not only as a training ground for the next generation of sorcerers but a headquarters for all alumni who have graduated on to be full-fledged jujutsu sorcerers as well.

Tokyo Jujutsu High is a broad campus of several buildings build in a traditional Japanese architectural style, operating under the guise of a Buddhist temple. The school building is well hidden on Tokyo's outskirts, far and high in the mountains. Naturally, there are a lot of trees around the property to further obscure the location. Some elements other than the buildings reflect the Buddhist theme. There are several statues of deities, shrines, and torii gates around the campus.

The school's curriculum is taught over four years. The concept is to train young sorcerers to control their curses and use them to exorcise other curses.

Practical training assignments and field tests often consist of investigating paranormal locations and exorcising weaker curses. Jujutsu High students are ranked on the same scale as professional jujutsu sorcerers, which their student ID reflects.

The teachers regulate their students' training regiments and education as they see fit.

''So who's gonna step up first?", Yaga raised the question after explaining the curriculum.

Yaga, Utahime and the 3 first year students are all present in the Testing Grounds of Tokyo Jujutsu High.

The students are required to perform or explain their Cursed Techniques (CT). Yaga will examine their potential and grade them likewise.
The grades will be represented through their ID cards.

''Me sensei, me!",Shoko jumped and raised her hands eagerly.

Shoko took her position in the middle of the ground, while others stood on a higher ground as spectators.

''Good luck Shoko", Utahime cried loud enough for Shoko to hear.

The boys gazed at Utahime.''Loud enough for a shorty", the boys fist bumped and giggled.

Utahime pouted. Although Utahime had other intentions, for her being present at the training grounds. She tried hard to bury those intentions.

Shoko was a composed young student. It was evident in her posture.

''You can start with it, shoko." Yaga ordered.

Shoko took a breath and said,'' I am not a combat type of jujutsu sorcerer. I don't have the capacity to present a normal cursed technique."

None of the spectators, had the idea about what she is saying. Yet Yaga did not show it.
Same goes for Utahime. She still tried to recollect the conversation both of'em had in past days. However it was of no use, until......
