The next day
The kids came and woke us up but when I woke up Erick was already gone
" where's daddy " I asked Zoe
" dunno " she answered
I hid my irritation
" Let's go make breakfast " I said heading out of my bedroom towards the kitchen

" Good morning, where's Erick " I asked

" Good morning niece, good morning nephew " Jay said as he kissed them both on their Forehead
" Good morning uncle " they both said excitedly
" mi can mek dem breakfast enuh " he said
" thank you, amo go make a call I'll be right back " I said
I went back in my room
I tried calling Erick 10 times before he finally answered
Conversation over phone ( with Erick )
" babe " he said
" nuh babe mi sir, weh uh deh " I asked
" did affi guh affi new site b, a weh uh duh Bex " he replied
" juss did waa know seh uh still living "
Before he got a chance to say another word I ended the call
He called multiple times after that, I declined all of them
I went back to the kitchen
" Mommy can we swim in pool outside " Zachary asked
" yes after you finish breakfast " I answered
I went in the storage room to go take out the pool that I bought, then went around the back, opened it up and it was so much bigger that I thought. I screwed the hose onto the pipe and put it in the pool so it could fill up I then went back in the house.
" it's pool day babies, let's go put on your swim wears " I said to them
" nickayla, I'm going out uh good pon uh own " Jay said
" yes I'm good, mek sure you're back at a reasonable time " I said
He went to his room to get dressed and I went to the kids room so I could get them dressed to go swim
I placed 4 swim wears on their beds 2 for each so they could pick. For Zoe option one was a barbie swim suit option two a monkey swim suit, for Zachary a teddy bear beach shorts and option two a spider beach shorts. Zoe picked the barbie and Zachary the teddy bears.
" you guys look so cute " I was just filled with baby fever I couldn't believe these were my step children
" mom can we go now " Zachary asked
I nodded my head telling them to go ahead and I followed behind them
