the next day, we all go back to the boathouse and deliver some food to eddie, we walk through the door and scare eddie on accident
"jesus christ!" eddie shouts jumping into the corner of the room
"delivery service." dustin says with a grin "so we got, uh, some good news and some bad news. how do you prefer it?"
"bad news first, always." eddie replies stuffing food into his mouth
"all right. bad news. we tapped into the hawkins PD dispatch with our cerebro, and they're definitely looking for you. slso, they're, uh, pretty convinced you killed chrissy." dustin says
"like, 100% kind of convinced." i say
"and the good news?" eddie asks
"your name hasn't gone public yet. but if we found out about you, it's a matter of time before others do." robin says
"and once that gets out, everyone and their shallow-minded mother is gonna be gunning for you." i say
"hunt the freak, right?" eddie says
"exactly." i said
"shit." eddie says
"so, before that happens, we find vecna, kill him,
and prove your innocence." dustin says
"that's all, dustin? that's all?" eddie says sarcastically
"yeah, no, that's pretty much it." dustin says realising how stupidly long that would take
"listen, eddie, i know everything dustin is saying
sounds totally delusional, but we've actually
been through this before. i mean, they have a... a few times, and... and i have once. mine was more human-flesh-based, theirs was more smoke-related, but bottom line is, collectively, i really feel we got this." robin says reassuringly
"we usually rely on this girl who has super powers. but, uh, those went bye-bye, so..." steve says
"so we're technically in more of the... kinda brainstorming phase." i finish his sentence
"brainstorming." steve says clicking his fingers
"there... there's nothing to worry about." dustin says, not very convincing
"shit." eddie whispers
"tart. tarp. tarp." we all shout to him as he gets under the tarp
me, max, steve, dustin and robin leave in steves car and follow the police to find nancy speaking to them
after nancy finishes speaking to them, we all go to the trailer park and sit on a bench to speak
"you're saying that this thing that killed fred and chrissy, it's from the upside down?" nancy asks
"if the shoe fits." dustin says
"our working theory is that he attacks with a spell or a curse." i say
"now, whether or not he's doing the bidding of the mind flayer or just loves killing teens, we don't know. allwe know is this is something different." dustin says
"something new." max says
"doesn't make sense." nancy says
"its only a theory." steve says
"no, fred and chrissy don't make sense. i mean, why them?" nancy asks
"maybe they were just in the wrong place." dustin says
"were both at the game." max says
"and near the trailer park." i say
"we're at the trailer park.." robin says
