When it was near 5 PM they rummaged through the backpack, ate the sandwiches and salad and pulled out 2 caramel apples. They still had lots of water.
"Perfect dinner date." Wei noted. "I couldn't ask for anything but you with me with caramel apples on a nice day in the forest."
Yunlan got up and kneeled behind Shen. He smoothed Wei's hair back from his forehead and leaned over his head to gaze into his eyes.

"You are the most beautiful person I've ever known. Inside and out. I would do anything for you.
"I still can't stop looking at you. I can't believe you love me so much. I want to be with you forever." He kissed Shen's forehead.
"We will be, I know we are destined to be together, My Love." Shen turned over on his side with his eyes closed and a slight smile. "I'm sleepy after that meal."
"Take a nap, Sweetheart. I will listen to the building. I want to go around it and see the other side."
Shen Wei's eyes immediately opened wide. "No, do not go without me."
"I'm going to just silently go around the building. I want to know if there are windows or more doors. Don't worry." He picked up the listening device and Wei's hand reached out and grabbed his wrist. Yunlan yelped.
"No, if you have the earphones on, you will not hear it if someone comes toward you from behind. I must go with you. I am not sleepy anymore."
They packed up every piece of evidence that they were there and started edging through the forest around the building. They stared at each other for a few minutes.
"Okay." Wei said
"All right." Yunlan replied.
The tin building was painted green and blended well with the surroundings.
Shen Wei took Yunlan by the arm and guided him further away from the building.They had to walk carefully around ferns and small shrubs but could still hear the talking and animal sounds inside. Wei signaled Yunlan to stop and shared one earphone with him. "Listen," he said.
They heard a conversation between a boss and an employee.
"You will pick up the guests when the kitchen is done. Take them to the heliport and bring them 4 at a time. There will be 12, all billionaires, so be polite, eh?"
"Yes Boss. Which port do we use for that? The company one or the public one we use for supplies?"
"You idiot! The company one in Cottage Grove! What are you thinking? The guests will be driven there from the private airport in Eugene. Listen Kyle, I don't think you have the brains to even pull off transportation. I'm going to send Wade. Forget it. Go back to cleaning cages and feeding the animals until you grow a brain."
"But Boss, Wade lost his driver's license to DUI's (AN: Driving Under the Influence). He can't legally drive."
"Oh My God! You moron. Do you think we worry about that with THIS operation? Everything we're doing is illegal. Get out of my sight! Hopefully the animals don't know how stupid you are. They should enjoy their last meals, at least."
