Laying on my back I did a three-way with my two bestfriends, Selena and Miley. They talked about which color socks they were going to wear tomorrow. I just listened while starring up at the ceiling, thinking about Nick. I wish I would've touched his hair, it looked too soft. I wonder what conditioner does he use.

"Demi, did you hear me?"Selena asked into the receiver.

"No, what did you say?"

"Damn girl, she's said it three times already what are you doing?" Miley snapped.

She had the quickest temper out of all three of us, Selena was the fashionastia while I was the bookworm. I even had a whole bookshelf in my room filled with encyclopedias to small chapter books.

"Sorry guys, I'm just tired. I had a long weekend at my dads and I got back early this morning" I tell them, sighing at the remembrance of the past days.

My dad wants me to come live with him permanently all the way across the state. Only till I graduate and be off to college, which would be in another year. I keep holding off because I've grew up in Jacksonvile my whole life.

"Just tell the motherfucker no Demi, it's not that hard"

Miley explained carelessly, like my father was offering me a half baked chocolate chip cookie. I sigh and turned on my side. As much as I wished that they would get that its not that easy, I knew they would never get it. Trust funds kids with both parents under the same roof. Not that rich people don't have their drama, I'm just saying it's not the same. Suddenly I didn't want to talk anymore. "Hey guys, I'll call y'all later. See ya later," I said hanging up before they expostulate Miley's aver.

My dad was pestering only me to come live with him and his wife, Jessica. The woman he left my mother for. It happened when I was only eleven and too young to understand, but Joe was thirteen and seemed to understand clearly what our father did; and what he did was wrong. Joe hate him to this day and both my father and mother resented that.

I tired not to bring up the horrible memories of the following years afterward so I got up and looked out my window. Nick and Joe were talking in the driveway as Joe dribbled the ball. I studied Nicks lips and the way he tossed his head to the side when he laughed. He was so friggin' hot. I hope he isn't like Tyler or the rest of Joe's friends.

After deciding to go back outside I pondered the thought of flirting a little with Nick. What harm can it cause? I laughed mischievously, involuntarily, to myself. Revenge is gonna taste sweet Joe and Miley.

"What are y'all doing?"

"Minding our business," Joe replied as he shot the ball in through the net.

I rolled my eyes at him as I trailed after Nick, who began to light up a cigarette. He must have felt my shocked expression because when he glanced up at me and caught me staring, he chuckled loudly. Almost spitting out his cigarette in the process. It was shockingly hot though. He didn't seem like the type that would smoke or drink alcohol for that matter. Guess he fooled me well.

"What?" Nick asked after taking a long drag of the cigarette and blowing the smoke in the other direction of Demi.

I shook my head and mumbled nothing, walking along the concrete that separated the grass and graval. He laughed quietly and kept his eyes on me, in a way that a grown man would look at a fully developed sixteen year old house bunny in a two piece. It made me shiver and stare at the ground.

"You're cool miniature Joe"

I gasped at his joke and almost fell in the grass. He laughed and threw his head back, simply amused by me.

"Aye Nick, that one is off limits bro,"

Joe said, breaking his friend intense glare on me. Nick smirked and put the cigarette back in his mouth and turned back to my brother.

"Demi go in the house and do your nails or some shit."

I laughed and quickly eased up. I rolled my eyes at Joe and flicked him off while obeying him. Joe friends and I had a past together so I quickly obeyed him.

"I'm glad I don't have a little sister,"

I heard Nick chuckle behind me. Glancing back over my shoulder at them, Joe punched Nick in the shoulder as Nick laughed and dropped his cigarette from his lips. They're so stupid, I swear. Please God, let Nick be a good influence on my brother.
