Our First Summer Festival

POV: Saiki Kusuo

T: What're the loud sounds out there?

S: Probably a summer festival.

T: A festival?! Why havent you told me?

S: I don't see the reason to.

T: Why aren't we going?

S:...Because I don't want to.

She gives me a disapproving look and I sighed.

S: Fine. We're going.

T: Yay!

We visited the summer festival soon after.

T: It's a shame that I didn't bring my yukata.

S: It's better if you didn't.

T: You're jealous that other guys are looking at me?

S: No, I just don't like crowds.

T: That's fair

And again, she never gets the response she wants from me.

T: Let's get some takoyaki!

She pulled my hand to the takoyaki stand. She's oddly excited for the summer festival that we decided to go on a whim.

When we started eating the takoyaki, Kokomi can hardly eat one because it was hot. While steam was exiting her mouth from the takoyaki, she noticed that I was simply eating it without any issue.

T: Kusuo...huff...isn't the takoyaki...huff...hot?

I turned to her, and steam emitted from my nostrils like a kettle.

She almost choked laughing and started coughing.

S: I'll get you some water.

After the meal, we decided to play a shooting game. We chose a specific one that had a sour looking cat plush. I wonder why she insisted on wanting it.

T: Are you good at shooting games?

S: What kind of question is that?

She asked while I was putting the cork in the gun and instantly shot the cat plush down, holding the gun with one hand.

Stall Owner: Congratulations! Here you go young lady!

Her eyes lit up but she subtly asked me,

T: Did you use your powers?

S: Why would I?

After getting confirmation, she's just filled wth joy that she got the plush.

To thank me, she wanted to buy me some cotton candy but...

T: Huh? Where's my wallet?

I also immediately checked my pockets,

I also lost my wallet.

S: Not again.

S: Kokomi...I'm going to find our wallets.

T: Oh, ok.

I walk to the forest so that no one would see me teleport.

I teleported high enough in the sky so no one would see me when they look up, and I also made sure there are no aircrafts nearby.

I started focusing on my telepathy to find the culprit.

"This so fun! "

"My legs are tired... "

"This game is a scam!"

"Why am I going to a festival alone..."

"Got a hell ton of wallets today!"

Found him.

I stood in front him right outside of the festival in the forest where he would bump into me.

He ran to me and dropped on the floor, all the wallets he stole were scattered.

Thief: Hey! Whats the big dea-

He sees a man wearing a familiar demon mask.

Th: I...It's you!!!!!

He was about to run away but I grabbed his shirt collar.

S: you never learn do you?

Th: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHH!

He fainted from fear. Didn't exactly planned it but at least I got the wallets back.

After returning all the wallets, I head back to Kokomi sitting on a bench while eating cotton candy.

S: Where did you get that cotton candy?

T: I got it for free.

S: Do you mean you wanted to get it for free?

T: You have your powers, I have mine.

I handed her her wallet back.

T: Where did you find it?

S: Got it from a pick pocketer...again.

T: A what?

The conversation was cut short by a sound of a firework going up in the air, followed by a flurry of fireworks.

T: Wow! Its so pretty!

How do we randomly have a perfect view of fireworks?

Kokomi rested her head on my shoulder, and I pulled her closer towards to me.

And all we did was watch the fireworks. No words were spoken. It was just the two of us appreciating each other's presence.

As the last firework flower fades from the sky, we were broken free from the firework's magic. And we realised that my arm was around her shoulder, and her head was resting on my shoulder. She quickly moved away, blushing blood red, almost saw steam emitting from her head.

T: Uhm, its getting late, we should head home.

I merely smiled.

S: Yeah, lets go home.
