Vi x OC
---
It's done. All I could see was black. I couldn't remember much from after the explosions, it wasn't anything really. I drifted in and out of consciousness and I remember hearing Vi cry.
Then I woke up and even with my eyes open it was black. All I could see. I yelled. I wanted to die. Or at least not feel the pain. I moved my hand which was peaking out of the rubble I was under. I frantically waved and screamed but I knew it was muffled.
Then the weight was lifted and the monster stood above me. Me and Vi. I got the chance to see her and she looked battered and bruised. But I didn't think she had life threatening injuries.
I looked to Mylo and Claggor and saw that their bodies were covered in rumbled and neither of them were moving.
I got the chance to look at myself. I was worse. I had a piece of the structure stuck into my side and my legs were backwards. I could move my arms and neck well, however. I sobbed, it hurt like a bitch and that's one hell of an under statement.
As the monster stepped forward further towards the two of us, something banged on the walls and then grabbed it by the neck. The new thing had the same purple veins as the first mutant and was a lot more built.
The new mutant held the other up in the air and suffocated it as it dangled and struggled.
The new mutant threw the old dead one to the side and walked in, hesitating as it saw us gasp in fear. But it looked like Vander. That was his face.
Then he repulsed, gripping its head and stepping back before screaming towards nothing in particular. It looked up and yelled at Silco, calling his name.
But Vi was crawling away, and I couldn't do that.
"Vi!"
She looked back at me with wide eyes and a sad face. I hoped it was because she couldn't leave me.
"What did you want to tell me?"
I hesitated and I heard loud creaking from above. I looked up to see the ceiling crumbling again. Vander then appears in the doorway running towards us as he picked us up, he ran and barged his way out of the exploding building and outside.
It was good, that when the smoke cleared, you could see the sky and know that you got out and you're safe.
But when I faced Vander, he just layed there with laboured breathing. I pulled myself with all my might so I might see his face from above. Vi doing the same, grabbing his face.
"Vander."
A pool of blood had begun to grow around us and it wasn't mine, and I didn't think it was Violet's. Vander gargled and lifted his head to look to us.
"Take care of Powder."
Then his head fell back down and the purple hue of his veins vanished with his life. Violet lurched and screamed for him as I sobbed. I hated to see her like this, I wanted to comfort her but what could I do or say?
Vi eventually stood up and for, what I think was the first time, she saw my legs and my side properly. She held one of her arms and looked at me with pure shock.
"Oh god. What do I do?"
"Hey. Its ok, don't worry. The adrenaline is taking care of the pain."
"And when that wears out? What will I do then?"
"You'd carry me, which you'd do anyway, and you'd comfort me."
She walked over to me and sat next to me, she brought me into a hug and I hugged her tightly.
"Vi! It worked!"
Footsteps walked around the corner and out came Powder. Powder who was supposed to be home with Ekko.
Vi hesitated, she wondered if she could step from me further than a foot without me dying. I nodded to her that I'd be fine. She walked over to Powder in disbelief.
"Did you see me? My monkey bomb finally worked!" But with all the excitement and enthusiasm she had her face dropped slightly.
"You did this?"
Powder looked confused and glanced down to see Vander dead on the floor with me and my broken legs. Her eyes widened but her brows furrowed.
"Why? Why did you do this?"
"I... I didn't. I was saving you."
She looked around the place, avoiding eye contact with me or Vi, at the fire building high, and Claggor's broken and bloodied goggles.
"I only wanted to help. I only wanted to help. I only wanted to help! I only wanted to--"
"I told you to stay away."
"Please. Please. Please--"
"I told you to stay away!"
Vi snapped and slapped Powder across the face, which made her lose her balance and fall. I was shocked but with all we went through, I knew it was reasonable. Powder held her face and looked back to Vi.
"No. Why did you leave me?!" She wailed and screamed and cried. Not understanding that if she had gone with us, she'd be dead. If she'd stayed home, Mylo, Claggor and Vander would be alive and we'd be back to normal.
"Because you're a Jinx. Do you hear me? Mylo was right." Vi gripped at Powders face and said this firmly, right up in her face. She then, as Powder was telling her to stop, she had realised she had hit her sister. She looked at her bloodied hand with shame and shock. She didn't know how she could've done it. She's never belittled her sister, nevermind hit her.
She thought that the best solution would be to pick me up and leave with me and not her sister. Most likely to cool off. At the time.
Rain fell as she carried me away and under an arch way. Powder cried out for us:
"Brandy please! Violet!"
But we never turned around.
Not until an all too familiar voice walked in.
Looking back we should've walked back sooner. But Vi decided against it. She wanted to cool off before she did something stupid.
But by then, the enforcers had gotten to us...
Everything just went black.
