And all the while a question lingers before you:

Have you had enough?

I thought I'd never say it, or think it, but as my body grew weaker, I wanted to fight less and less. Tears fell down my face as it turned red with blood.

Then I felt my body being forced left and my head collided with Vi's and we were thrown towards the others, a gauntlet and a dagger flew from our reach.

I coughed and gasped and wept but I dragged myself to the room Vander was held in. The kid kept walking towards us and Vander shouted out our names, I just kept moving, I wanted out.

We got in and pulled ourselves up enough to use all the strength that we had left to close the door. The big, heavy, metal door. Me and Vi shut it as fast as we could and the monster began to run. The gap was closed and he crashed into the metal. We 'locked' it and sat against it as he continuously ran into the door.

I looked at Vi and we smiled weakly to one another. I looked back at everyone else, saw what we brought them to. I felt disgusting.

We were going to die in this shitty factory on some shitty dock, being killed by the shittiest man I've ever met. And I've had my fair share.

I kept gasping for air, the time I went without it meant I would be out of breath for a while and I could hear my heart pounding in my ears.

Mylo managed to do another one of the locks on Vander's bonds and kept going with the last one. Vander looked up to us.

"You did good."

The mutant banged and crashed and yelled continuously while me and Vi caught our breath.

Claggor was hitting the wall until it began to crumble and he gasped before going back and hitting harder.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Vi as she got up and stood against the door instead. I tried to get up and help her but found my legs unstable and I fell straight back down.

The monster hit and banged on the door still, and I saw that the roof was crumbling slowly from the constant heavy impact.

Claggor got a brick free so you could see out and I praised him, well done, and all that. He kept going, so did Mylo, who was making progress on the shackles and me and Vi pushed back the door, trying to keep the monster out.

But then, the bangs stopped.

Mylo got Vander free, the lock on his shackle clicked and fell loose. It let him go.

Claggor had made a big enough hole for is to get out of. We could get out.

I looked to Vi, this was the chance, the quiet chance.

"Vi."

She looked to me and nodded, silently telling me to continue.

"I know we are extremely young. But this may be the only chance I get to say this... Vi, I--"

An explosion went off and everything was blue. Followed by another explosion. And another, which knocked down the door and sent us flying. And another, but from inside our room, not outside. Claggor got hit but so did I. Because I was sat down, my legs bent in a way they weren't supposed to. Mylo got thrown against a wall, with a pipe stuck through his chest. I turned around, I faced them and I hated the look of each corpse. Followed by the ceiling collapsing ontop of everybody. And another. I'm sure the world could see this. I bet the  clouds have been joined by their blue friend and everyone will say 'ooh pretty' while we suffered and died.
