Stiles hands didn't waver as he leveled the gun at his dearest friend. Deliberately, he unlatched the safety, and put his finger on the trigger.
"Move, I won't ask again." Poorly controlled anger lurked in his voice, and his chest was tight with the roaring rage of uncertainty and renewed grief.
"We've been here before, Mischief," Nat said, her soft voice conjuring memories of a field and a different kind of pain. Sparring, shouting, and eventually giving in to the emotion.
That was then. This was now.
"You have no right to stand in my way."
The first flash of emotion touched Natasha's previously calm expression and Stiles caught sight of it before she was able to smooth it over.
It was anger, cold and hard, and it clashed against the living fire of his.
"You're not the only one who is angry," she said, words clipped. "It's okay to be angry, but you can't do this. He's your family, Stiles."
"You don't get to tell me what I can and cannot do!" Stiles shouted into the cool air of the sterile, modern building, flinging his arms out away from him. He gritted his teeth together and gestured angrily with his gun, "He betrayed me. He lied to me. I will kill him.
"I will kill Tony Stark and anyone who tries to stop me."
