| grief |

there's something strange about feeling grief. feeling the loneliness of something that once lived within you. rooted so deep that sometimes you never realized it was separate from you.

there's something strange about being still in chaos. losing sight of what once kept you grounded. pulled so far away from what once kept you safe.

there's something strange about denying despair. pleading with the silence for one more day. risking everything for a fleeting moment of hope.

there's something strange about feeling grief. drowning in the anguish of what will never return. forever mourning something that will never again be a part of you.
