"Is this what you want?" She asked.

"Haven't I always?" He laughed.

Vignesh lazed around sipping on a protein shake. He was alone in the hall, Maha was in her room, Jilla was out, Appa was busy and Amma was asleep. Everyone was left to their own devices.

He scrolled through his Facebook page absent minded. He heard footsteps and turned his head to see who it was. His eyebrows cocked when he saw it was Kesava. Who smiled as he caught sight of him.

"Neenga.." he trailed off.

"Vignesh... Sakthi irukana?" Kesava asked.

"Jilla inga illa... veliya poyirukan" he answered finishing his shake.

"Oh" he sounded disappointed.

"Edhavadhu venuma naa panni tharen" he offered.

But Kesavan just smiled at him and said, "parvaala naa appa a poi paakuren."

"Illa I'm serious... naa panni tharen" he repeated.

Kesava just shook his head, "your father wouldn't want you to do it."

Then he left.

He scowled and went back to scrolling.

"Why do you look like your girl friend cheated on you with a junior?"

"Not the time, maha"

"So you did get cheated... I'm telling Anna" she said plopping down on the sofa.

"Ehhh solren laa" he shouted.

"Yow yean naayi maari koraikura" she said challenging him.

He sighed.

She watched him.

"Maha" he murmured.

"Hmm" she was irritated.

"Illa unnakku..." he murmured again. "Enna?" She asked flippantly.

"Do you ever think Appa loves Anna more than us?"he asked in a voice that she almost couldn't hear.

"No" she answered immediately, "why would I?"

"Well he trusts him more" he pointed out.

"That's because he's better than us" she argued, "he is more capable, he takes care of us, he takes care of everything."

He hummed in thought.

"I want to be like him" he confessed.

"I know" she smiled.

"Both of you are such cheaters" Sakthi huffed.
