IVY'S POV

it's been about a week since everything with zach went down, i flew back home two days after crashing with megan and morgan.
liv and i hung out for a few days, todsy she had work so she left and it was just me, when i had woken up around 11:00 am my phone was blowing up with notifications from news websites and text messages, i found out zach was back in oklahoma.
i read this and sat up straight away, i brushed my hair out of my face making sure i read that right, i hurried up and called megan.
(ever since that night, we became fairly close)

megan:
"hey ivy! what's up?"

"ZACH IS BACK IN OKLAHOMA?"

"WHAT?" i heard her gasp over the phone

"I KNOW! WHAT DO I DO?" i ask her panicking looking for some clothes in my closet to wear

"WELL THERE IS A FEW THINGS YOU COULD DO, text him and ask him to talk, ignore it all, text noah, or try and figure out where he is" i find an outfit and put meg on speaker while i change

"i guess i'll text him, but what if he just hates me now?" i say in a sad tone

"zach wouldn't hate you, you guys just both needed some time to think, call him ivy, please."

"okay okay, ill call him, bye meg." i hang up, i get dressed quickly and click on zach, we haven't talked since last week, my heart sinks and i press the call button, i put it on face time and he answers right away
"hello?" i could tell he was nervous
"hey zach, um.. i um saw you were in oklahoma and was wondering if you know we could um, like talk, i guess, i just um am ready and if you are then i would love to have a chance to talk it out." i take a deep breath, i hear him exhale
"i would love that v, want me to come to your house?" he ask
"um, yeah that works if you don't mind."
"not at all, see you in about ten minutes." i say goodbye and he hangs up.
within about ten minutes i hear a knock on the door, i run down stairs, take a deep breath.
i open the door and see zach standing there
"hey" i say obviously showing i'm nervous, he walks in and we walk out to my balcony in my room and sit down
"i just wanted to say i'm sorry, you know for leaving you.." i says looking straight into my eyes
"no i totally understand, don't apologize, i messed up, and i just wanted to apologize for that... you know since i messed everything up, paparazzi is tearing me alive and you know how much i love you zach, we have been bestfreinds since we were little, we grew up one door away from eachother, we would blast tyler childers and scream sing it while mackenzie would think we are crazy, we would run out to the lake and sit on the dock watching the sunset, you would come over and we would ride winter and sammy out in the rain, you would toss me your jacket trying to keep stable on the horse, but also trying to throw it so i could catch it easily, you would come over with footloose and cookie dough ice cream when me and my dad got into arguments, you would rub the back of my hand when i was having panic attacks and talk to me about the most random things ever, you would call me when you were stressed about shipping out and i would come over and run my hands through your hair and we would write some songs together to get the tension out, you stood by my side when my mom faded away in my arms, you bought flowers for me and my sister, you would take pictures of me and put them in your hat, and most importantly, you would stay with me when i needed you the most, sure you made a mistake, but i made so many too, i don't want to lose you zach, i never wanted too, i just felt that i needed to make sure that i was making the right decision and now i realize that i am." my breath becomes shaky and i feel all the warm hot tears rushing from my eyes, i hiccup when i am about to have a anxiety attack, and zach knew that.
he stood up, grabbed my hand, rested it on his leg, and started rubbing it back and forth, he started to talk to me and that's when i realized i got my zach back, after i calmed down i rested my head on his shoulder, he kissed me softly on the lips and we ended up falling asleep for a few minutes until we started to get rained on, zach woke up first and lifted me up and brought me inside trying to keep me asleep, he started to play on my guitar and i woke up, he started to sing tyler childers and i giggled, he looked up at me and grabbed my hand, pulling me up while still singing

and i was laughing so hard, all of a sudden he stopped and i got confused, he stopped me up in his arms and said
"what if we sang, recorded, and released one of the songs we wrote a while back." i look up at him and turn around facing him
"you would want to do that?!" i say trying to control my excitement
"yes!! let's do it today!!" he says full of excitement and hope
"yesss!!" i say super excited, he grabs my guitar and i pull out my piano
"okay, which one?" he ask me while i scroll through all the ones in my folder
"what about... Morning time?" i are his face light up, he starts playing the cords on the piano and then the guitar and i could tell he had been prepared
"wow, you are ready huh" we both start sibgigg by a little and after a little while we finally get it and record a little, we get better and we got the take, now we just need someone to produce it, good thing zach already has someone, while he was on the phone liv came home and she came running up the stairs, she ran into my room
"IVY! OH MY GOSH ARE YOU OKAY?" she says worried
"yes i'm fine! we just talked and made up!" i say to her
"oh my gosh, good, i thought something happened, whew" she takes a breather and flips down on my bed
zach walks back over to me and sits down right next to me and puts his hand on my thigh
"we got it, i just sent it in and they should have it down within a few hours, once they send it back to us, it's up to us when to release it." he smiles and i lean my head on his shoulder
"oh also hey liv" he says and i chuckle
"hey zach, also what are you guys doing?" she says obviously confused
"we sang and recorded one of our old songs and we are gonna realease it soon!" i say and she sits up and gasp obviously exciting
"WHAT OH MY GOSH!!! YESSS!!" she starts jumping up and down
once we talk for a while, zach and i fall asleep and wake up the next morning to the song finished, we listen and i have tears in my eyes, zach rubs my back in a a reassuring way
"i can't believe this" i kiss zach softly and get dressed quickly, we leave a while after that to his studio to...
RELEASE IT.
