Hybrid - Huening Kai

"This is the perfect view, I can't believe I'm here" I said excitedly.

"Yeah neither can I, why'd you ever wanna move to a place literally next to a forest" Said my best friend Jay.

"What if a wild animal shows up?" Jay asked.

"Well, if I die then I die and if I don't then I'll have an amazing experience to write about" I chuckled at his annoying expression.

He rolled his eyes as I started to unpack my stuff and arrange them properly while he helped me.

I've been best friends with him since forever and now he feels like a mother to me, always trying to protect me, meanwhile I'm the wild child that wants to experience everything even if it is dangerous which gives Jay a heart attack most of the time.

At night.

I was sitting on the table with my laptop on my lap trying to write some new stories when I heard leaves ruffling noise from outside. I went out to check, even called out to see if there was someone but found no one.

Just as I was about to go back in I bumped into someone. I looked up to see a tall boy around my age with an unbelievably gorgeous face standing in front of me. I stood there frozen to my feet while he stared into my eyes.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you" He said with a small smile on his face. It took me a whole minute to get back to my senses before I said it was okay.

"You're new here?" He asked

"Oh yea I just moved in" I said trying to act calm and unbothered by how breathtakingly handsome he was.

"I was just walking around since I couldn't sleep. I'm kai by the way" He said as he extended his hand towards me and I shook it sweetly.

"I'm y/n and I can't sleep either. Do you mind if I join you?" I blurted out.

"What are you even doing y/n?" I thought to myself but went with it anyway.

"Okay I guess" He said unsure.

I suggested to take a walk in the forest while he grew his eyes wide at my suggestion. Before he could say anything I started to walk inside exploring the forest while he followed.

"You know it can be dangerous when you don't know about the territory you're in" He warned me.

"Ah it's okay, I like to explore" I said smirking while walking forward.

I was walking at a fast pace when I stepped on a stone and my ankle twisted making me out of balance. I was just about to hit the ground when kai grabbed my waist preventing me from falling. I held his shoulders as a response and we stayed like this for a moment.

"Kai what are you doing here?"
We jumped at the sudden voice and  stood up. Another tall male came out from behind the branch revealing himself. He was a little shorter than kai with jet black hair and sharp eyes.

"Who is she?" The other male asked  walking towards us.

Kai came and stood in front of me.
"Let's get you home. It's getting late already" He said turning to me without answering that guy.

I nodded my head a little and just as I was about to walk I fell to the ground because of my twisted ankle.

"Do you mind if I carry you home?" He asked getting on his knees.

I bit my lip as I nodded and he picked me up with ease in bridal style. I was worried that he might feel my heart beat so fast as it was about to pop out of my chest being so close to him.

He gave the other guy a look before taking me away. We reached my house and he carried me all the way to bed. He carefully led me down on bed and tucked me in.

"Don't go out in the forest at night and take care of your leg" He said as he patted my head while I tried my best not to blush.

"Will I see you again?" I asked him  just as he was about to leave.

"Nothing can stop me from seeing you" He said smirking as he stepped out making me blushing mess.
