"y/n, hurry! we'll miss the bus!" lorelei says out of breath, sprinting to the nearby transit stop

lorelei pants, "its too far of a walk to miss it, it would be embarrassing that the bride would miss her own reservation"

you,with the last of your strength, run over, finally making it before the vehicle stops

you and lorelei, both out of breath and relieved, look up at the remaining seats on the public transport, opting for two seats that were right next to each other.

lorelei looks over in relief, "good thing we made it, huh. i gave myself shin splints from doing that."

you look up to the bus' display screen prompting the next stop

luka's pov!

waking up exhausted, i reach over for my phone

scrolling over through my recent texts, i look over the ones with y/n.

i feel like i should text her, but what?

immediately, i move over to the phone app and make a group call with marcelo and ramos

as soon as they answer, i immediately ask for help, "sergio, marcelo, i hit it off last night with the girl again, but i don't know how to ask her out again"  

marcelo replies, "luka, you need to start small talk with her again" 

 nodding, sergio says "maybe ask her to the party that's supposed to be coming up?"

"don't you think that would be too much? i don't want her to think i'm awkward or anything-"

"luka, if she doesnt like you how you are at the party, is it even worth it to try? marcelo wisely adds

i smile before thanking them and immediately texting her.

hey again! i really liked hanging out with you last night, would you like to come to a party with me soon?

i smile after i send the message, immediately leaving my phone out of excitement

i started walking over to the kitchen, grabbing breakfast and sitting down, preparing to go to mateo kovacic's private gym

awaiting a text back, i repopen my messages to no avail, being left on delivered

you two finally made it over to the the beautiful beach, walking down the populated sidewalk with sandals aswell as a swimsuit coverup

looking around at the sight, you stare into beautiful landscape lovingly as the other bridesmaids impatiently wait for your arrivals

"lorelei, what took you so long?" one asks

another snakily replies, " probably because she was stuck with y/n."

lorelei snaps her head at the bridesmaid with the audacity, giving her a death stare

however, this did not persuade anyone else from making fun of you.

"y/n seems like a slow dresser, besides, she came home so late from kissing up to that man she met at the cafe." 

"she didn't even try to stay with us at all!" 

lorelei was one of your really good friends, except for the fact that she was a very social person

her social skills provided her an abundant amount of friends, but since you weren't the social butterfly, nobody really liked you

lorelei tried time and time again to prove to them that you were deserving of your title, but this was the straw that broke the camels back

"you know what, i'm sorry lorelei, i don't think i can do this right now." you say, into her ear

the other bridesmaids look at you, waiting for your response

you walk off without a word to anybody else, disappointed that your trip had gone sour.

immediately, you sit on a bench alone, away from the party, looking for an uber or someone to call

you approach onto luka's name, hesitant to call him so early

however, you proceed to dial him up, asking him to pick you up

he finally arrives and you hop in his car

"why are you at such a place by yourself, y/n? what happened to your friends?"

you stare him in his eyes, "i need a break from them, luka, they haven't been friendly to me this entire time, i think i'd much rather stay with you for a while."

luka, stunned, replies, "y/n, if you do stay with me, i will make your trip just as fun."

"promise?"

"promise."
