A spacious ballroom was filled with well over two hundred guests that had been invited to JYPE's annual fall party. The crowd enjoyed free food and drinks as well as the opportunity to network while Once's newest album played in the background.

Nayeon tried to enjoy herself. It had been so long since she'd gone out to an actual party, probably well before Ryujin was born, but she couldn't help but frown every time her eyes drifted to Jeongyeon.

Her girlfriend of over a month had left her alone for almost an hour now while she talked with various guests. Every time it seemed she was finished, someone else caught her attention. Why the hell did she have to be so popular? Nayeon let out another frustrated sigh, making Jihyo and Shuhua laugh.

Right. She wasn't actually alone. Her two friends had been next to her all night, but that didn't stop her bad mood.

"Feeling jealous?" Jihyo couldn't help but tease her.

"Please, I'm not jealous," Nayeon huffed, rolling her eyes. Jihyo cut her a look.

"Uh huh. So you've been staring daggers at every woman that talks to Jeongyeon and sighing for no reason then?"

"And almost going after the vice president's wife because she touched Jeongyeon?" Shuhua added.

Nayeon clenched her fists. The VP's wife had kept touching Jeongyeon's arm and laughing like an idiot. She might as well have been throwing herself at the much younger woman. What was so funny anyway? There wasn't any reason for her to touch her girlfriend's arm. Stupid bitc-

"Come on unnie, relax. I know you've always been territorial when it comes to Jeongyeon, but you know you can trust her," Jihyo said.

"Yeah, like Jeongyeon would leave you for some bored trophy wife with bad hair anyways." Shuhua laughed to herself before remembering she'd just publicly bad mouthed the vice president's wife. She looked around to make sure no one had heard her.

"Oooookay, that's enough drinks for me tonight," Shuhua said, pushing away her glass of champagne. "I'm gonna go introduce myself to that new solo artist we just signed. She seems like my style. What's her name again?"

"Her name is Seo Soojin. Try not to bad mouth anyone else while you're over there alright?" Jihyo asked. "Don't make us look bad in front of the new girl."

"Sure thing Thomas!"

Shuhua scurried away before Jihyo could respond.

"Great. This is your fault you know." Jihyo pointed an accusing finger towards Nayeon. "All the trainees have started calling me Thomas too thanks to you and that dumb girlfriend of yours."

Nayeon still had her eyes glued to where Jeongyeon was talking with some model who kept getting a little too close for her liking.

Jihyo shook her head and sighed. "Unnie, no one is going to steal Jeongyeon from you. You can trust her."

Nayeon finally looked away from the bothersome scene. "I know," she said. "I trust her more than anyone. It's just..."

She trailed off, not knowing how to truly explain her feelings of jealousy when she saw Jeongyeon with other people. Even back in school, she'd had these feelings towards the younger girl. She had wanted Jeongyeon's time and attention for herself. Poor Momo had been on the receiving end of too many dirty looks from Nayeon when she'd transferred to their school and Jeongyeon was assigned as her tour guide.

"I don't want to lose her," Nayeon said softly.

Jihyo's face softened at her friend's admission. "Want to know a secret about her?" Jihyo prompted, a fond smile forming.
