Hi my name is Ashley,i have 16 years old I live in a foster home and it's horrible I'm not exactly abused but it grows in the system I can say that it's one of the worst things that exist in the current house I'm in they have padlocks on the closets and on the fridge they only give us enough food to survive
That's why I have a part-time job where I can earn money to buy clothes and food.If you're wondering why I'm in this situation and why I was abandoned at birth according to my social worker my mother said she wasn't ready to take care of a child all I can think of is if she knew what a condom was.
"Ash, we need to get ready, class has already started" this one and my friend Aria knew about 6 months ago when I moved to this new foster home
"I'm on my way" I repliedafter arriving at class and getting lectured for being late, Aria asks "Did you get all the papers for your emancipation yet?"

"I'm sorry Miss.Thomas it won't happen again I promise I can let it go just this once" I begged because if I stay after school I'll be late for my part-time.
"If it bothers you so much to stay here after school, don't mention it in my class, now moving on"

After work I went home the trip takes about 25 minutes as I have to walkUpon entering the house, I came across my "father" or rather one of the people who is in charge of me according to the state
"Your social worker said she's coming here tomorrow so make sure you wear something decent and don't say anything you'll regret"
You might be wondering what he means by the last part well when I got here I really hated the place and I still do I just want to emancipate myself so I pretend this is a great place to live but moving on when I came here, I told my social worker that they didn't give me food or buy me clothes or basic necessities and well, we can say that it was a mistake they made me go without food for a week and wouldn't let me leave my room to do anything. nd they gave the school the excuse that I was "sick" it was one of the worst weeks of my life I was so hungry that I don't know how I survived, after that they made me call my social worker and say that I made it all up because I didn't want to be here, these bums do everything for the small amount of money that the state offers to have a child in their care
