Teddy felt a bit annoyed at the fact that Connor didn't remember who she was, before realizing that the two never really interacted much, so maybe she shouldn't feel offended by it. She got out her phone and typed into her AAC app. "Teddy."

"Right, Teddy," Connor said. Although the situation was awkward, the brown eyed boy tied to play it off coolly by clicking his tongue.

"So Connor, who are you visiting with those flowers?" Leah asked.

"The same person as you," Connor replied. "I mean, unless you aren't visiting Penelope."

Image Description: Connor stands in a hospital hallway, holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand. He has brown skin, golden brown hair, and golden brown eyes. The hand that is not holding a bouquet is resting in a pocket of his pants. He has a happy expression as he talks.

"Huh?" Leah responded. "You're giving Penelope flowers?"

"Why? Is it weird?" Connor asked. "When my dad found out I was visiting a friend from the hospital, he insisted that I should get them flowers."

"Oh, a friend, right," Leah replied, before coughing.

There was an awkward silence. Teddy could see Nadia's eyes flitting back and forth between Leah and Connor. Although Teddy hadn't told Nadia about Leah's feelings forPenelope, she had a feeling that Nadia would soon figure it out on her own. That is, if she hadn't already.

"How'd you get here?" Nadia eventually asked Connor. "You failed the driver's test twice, so you couldn't have driven here alone."

"Sure, go ahead and say that for everyone in this hospital to hear. You know I can always try again. I only failed the knowledge section, not the practical part." Connor rolled his eyes. "Anyway, my mom drove me." Connor's expression suddenly turned a bit shy. "Listen, can you not tell Ferris about this?"

"Why?" Leah asked.

"Why?" Connor repeated. He seemed taken aback by the question for a moment before he answered, "Because Ferris will never let me live it down if he finds out I did something like this. He'd tease me about being... I don't know, sensitive or something!"

"Not that stupid fight of yours again," Nadia sighed. "Can't you just apologize to each other? Do either of you even remember what caused you two to hate each other in the first place?"

Teddy perked up a little at this. In truth, she was a bit curious as well.

"I-I," Connor stammered, seeming at a loss for words. It was a bit hard to see on his medium toned skin, but he seemed to be blushing in embarrassment. "He's just a dumb jerk, okay!" Connor finally exclaimed.

"Don't talk about him like that!" Leah protested.

So you don't actually remember what happened to make you two hate each other, Teddy thought, shaking her head at Connor.
