Hello my little constellations! I apologise for the long hiatus. I've been busy with my TWST fanfic, but I am starting to write oneshots again, and requests are open for both.

This was requested by kaushanisengupta06! Thank you for the request and I hope you enjoy it!

Plotline: You have just started your fourth year at Hogwarts and expected it to be the same as prior; study, help Remus reign in the rest of the Maruaders and try to steer James into Lily's good graces. What you weren't expecting was to cross paths with Regulus Black after being paired for a Potionology Practical, and you certainly weren't expecting to pursue a secret relationship with him. But life just strung people along. It's a shame life didn't help you keep it secret.

📝Additional Information 📝:

House: Ravenclaw

Blood Status: Half-Blood

Year: Fourth-Fifth

(Reader and Regulus are a year behind the Marauders)

"(Name)!"

You sighed, folding your hands on the table and rested your forehead against them.

It's not even the third period, you thought.

The legs of a chair scraping in front of you resounded and someone plopped down. Familiar cologne wafted through your nose.

"James. I'm not in the mood for your shenanigans." You mumbled.

"Please, please hear me out." The bespectacled boy pleaded.

"James," you lowered your hands on the desk,"It's not even the end of the second week of the beginning of the new year. I already covered for you all last week, and even managed to swipe your invisibility cloak from Professor Grayson's cupboard. Not only that, I'm up to my ears with assignments and helping the third years."

He opened his mouth and you raised a finger. "I'm not finished."

He shut it.

"And, I'm guessing the only reason you came to me is because Remus is indisposed, no?"

"He's busy with homework too." He mumbled.

"And may I inquire why you, Sirius and Peter aren't doing yours?"

"Who does homework the day it's assigned?"

You quirked a brow.

James' eyes trailed over the various books and parchment on the desk.

He looked back at you and shook his head fervently. "That's different. You're a Ravenclaw."

You flipped a page in your Herbology textbook. "Wow. Pretty stereotypical, dont'cha think, Jamie?"

If someone had asked you how you, a 'goody-two shoes' student of Ravenclaw House managed to befriend a group of mischievous troublemakers like the Marauders, you wouldn't know what to tell them. Frankly, they wouldn't either.

You do boldly remember that Sirius was the first person you met, though.

It as your first day in Hogwarts and having been raised outside the Wizarding World, you hadn't much clue on how to navigate the classes properly. Every corridor and door looked the same to you. It didn't help that you didn't have any friends yet and were a recluse by nature, and that you were late and the halls were all empty and the class doors shut without labels. You hadn't the confidence to knock and ask for directions or disturb anyone.
