April. The school entrance ceremony. Unfortunately, I rode the bus to school, bobbing and shaking in my seat. I adapted a sleeping strategy. You may ask why. Because of her...
Ayanokoji Kiyoka
My twin sister whom I just met 6 months ago. We were separated since birth and somehow we managed to reconnect. It's a long story.
The moment we met my life was flipped upside down. Truly a work of a devil. Would I be like that if I had a normal childhood? I wonder.
Right now she was seated next to me.
We were fortunate to have found a seat in this crowded bus unlike us; the older women couldn't find a seat. Thankfully the devil didn't spot her or my lovely seat-chan was to be abducted from me.
But this wasn't for long.
"Excuse me, but shouldn't you offer up your seat?" This is bad, by now the old lady would be recognised by Kiyoka. But my strategy was flawless, no matter what Kiyoka throws at me I won't budge.
I kept pretending to be asleep.
"Hey, you there. Can't you see that this elderly woman is having trouble?" The same voice riverbed in the bus if I had to guess it belonged to a woman in her thirties.
"Kiyotaka." There was nothing to be scared of. I have honed my skills to this day. Since she entered my life I had to use this strategy multiple times.
"..." Perfect if I do say so myself.
"I know you are awake." How? It confuses me to this day.
"Am not," I replied
"You have 30 seconds to give your seat to the elderly woman." Don't I get a say in this? Alas, it's decided today was my rebellious stage, I would not comply whatsoever.
"Why don't you give up your seat?" I managed to let those words flow out of my mouth without considering the consequences. After all, historically no one cared about the consequences.
"Hoh...getting rebellious." She said in an amusing tone.
The next moment I was thrown out of my seat, and she didn't even hesitate to kick me, truly a devil. The whole bus's attention shifted from the commotion to the poor old me who was lying on the floor.
I stood up with no care in the world and started whipping the side of my thighs where I was kicked with no mercy.
I looked back at the culprit to spot my brown-haired sister sitting in my original seat with her tongue stuck out.
I calmly analysed the situation, I could no longer go back to my seat and if I stood without holding onto a handrail I was in danger of falling again.
I gave my twin sister one last look before walking toward the commotion with a defeated look.
"Mam" I called out to the elderly woman. "You can have my seat let me lead you to it."
"O-oh thank you, young man," She said in a quiet voice.
I led her to the seat where I was. I was met with the devil giving me an innocent smile and thumbs up.
I sighed and walked back to the front of the bus.
Thankfully that was the end of it or so I thought. My eyes fell on a beautiful girl with short beige-coloured hair paired with gradient crimson eyes, she was wearing my high school's uniform. Her eyes locked with mine and she started walking toward me.
Ehhh?
What did I do?
"Hello, are you alright?" Wait what?
