Me and Finnick sat half the train ride in silence. Both of us are thinking about the game. Neither of them want to go back to the Arena and neither one of us daring to say a word because we don't know what to say or do. " You know you didn't have to volunteer for her" Finnick said breaking the silence between us.
"I wasn't gonna let her go through that again, you saw how she reacted after her game, and beside she's my sister and then I knew Mags was going to volunteer for her, she's an old lady and she deserves to live the rest of her life in piece" I said. I knew he was not going to like my answer and I was right because he rolled his eyes and said, " there really is no stopping you is there?" "Nope and honestly, you should've seen this coming because I was going to volunteer either way, and plus I was NOT going to leave you to go into the Arena without me" I say. we both broke out into a fit of laughter ignoring the fact that we are going to the 75th Hunger Games.
We ended up talking about how he is totally head over heels in love with my sister. And of course, he denied all of it. After that I went to my room to rest before we got to the Capital.
When we got to the Capital, and we then stepped off. We were then escorted to the place that all the tributes stayed in while they trained. On the way there I bumped into someone
" Im so sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going at all" I say and a boy's voice reply " It's fine". I look up and see a boy who I recognize a career from District 1 and the winner of the 73rd Hungers Games, The one right after mine.
We then go our separate ways. Me and Finnick went to the place we were staying and had dinner. After dinner Me and Finnick went to our rooms. We've got a long day tomorrow, trying to get Sponsors at the Tribute Parade.
