"I'm in the Hyperion, eh? What next...? Kicking me out and leaving me in the desert to die...?"

He mumbled a negative thought about his crew exiling him.

A metal door was in Y/N's sight, but having less care about it to his extent. His body stumbled upon the door and pushed it with his whole body.

Y/N entered the room, and he had no clues. He leaned against the door while letting out a deep sigh, needing time to regain his portion of strength.

When he mustered the strength to crane his head up to the front, he realized that he had discovered the vast open space of the hangar that they didn't tell him.

"Is that... a hangar...? Another one?"

He looked around the barely pitched black hangar, only to find out that none of the aircraft were stored inside as if they didn't own them in the first place, and left it as it was.

But his one-sided eye caught a glimpse of a single futuristic-themed fighter jet stationed in the center.

"I didn't know we had a jet here..."

The jet indirectly drew his attention to slowly move forward, as if he was mesmerized by the discovery.

The jet had a futuristic design with a color scheme shared with the Hyperion.

The aircraft was in a poor state. The metal was covered in piles of dust and missing some parts. It was as if someone decided to cancel it and abandoned it like that.

"Wow...."

He had an urge to touch the material. Much to his slight astonishment, he could feel a cold sensation coming from the steel panel.

"Only one? Is it because there are no Honkai Monster sighting events?"

He craned his head up to find a bubble canopy windshield closed shut. Having the urge to see what's inside, he lowered his body squat before launching upward like a spring. He successfully reached for the top as he climbed upward.

Y/N then opened up the panel canopy, which was locked by the joint of the door. The bubble canopy raised sideways, and slowly, he entered the cockpit.

Somehow, his burdened thoughts had been forgotten after he discovered the abandoned jet stored inside and had less maintenance.

Just a smile of fun that slowly encouraged him.

'Don't do it, Y/N... It's not worth your sacrifice...'

The worried voice of the Herrscher of Light warned his hearing again, but he didn't bother to respond to her. He was intensely focused on the cockpit design.

"Looks good..."

He played around with the center stick as if he was playing with the arcade controller. For once, he wanted to erase all those burdens and let himself enjoy it for fun.

"Can this thing start?"

Curiosity had increased further. He looked around the cockpit and discovered that the jet had no ignition keys other than the buttons, which he thought required a specific procedure to start the engine.

"Wait...? This feeling..."

Out of nowhere, Y/N's head triggered a sharp reaction. He could sense a dangerous presence near in his proximity.

Whatever that was, it was approaching him closer.

Suddenly, a flash of light burst out of nowhere, causing him to flinch and dazzle in shock, covering his face with his arms bent down.
