A favor

"I need a favor," Zayn said hesitantly

I couldn't speak, what do I say to a guy who I barley know? Any girl would die to be in my position, but I felt very uncomfortable.

"Excuse me?" I answered. That was the only thing that could get out of my mouth.

"Look, uh-" he raised his eyebrow at me, waiting for me to drop my name.

"Lizzie," I spoke giving him a glare and in return he gave me a smile.

"Okay, Lizzie. I need a favor from you."

"You already said that." I said rolling my eyes.

He chuckled, "You have a little bit of an attitude, don't you?"

"Only to the people at deserve it." I answered tilting my head and giving him a smile.

I looked over at Andrew and Michaela and saw their eyes widened looking at the scene in front of them. Zayn seemed to had noticed and took my hand, dragging me away from them.

"What are you doing! Stop dragging me!" I yelled at him.

He stopped in front of a empty classroom and looked at me furiously.

"Just be quiet." He demanded.

I decided not to say anything back. He looked serious and angry so I stayed quiet.

"Do you see that girl over there?" He gestured his head to the girl.

I looked over his shoulder and saw a girl with blonde hair with caramel highlights. Her back was turned, so I couldn't get a good look of her face, but I could tell she was beautiful. She was talking to a guy, whom I assumed was her boyfriend since they were being all touchy.

I turned my attention back to Zayn, but his sight never left the couple. His eyes narrowed and his jaw clenched. Why was he so angry?

I cleared my throat catching his attention, "Yeah I see her, so what?"

"That's my ex girlfriend, Kaylee. We broke up a month ago. It was all because-" he started but I interrupted him.

"I don't need your whole breakup story, okay? Just get to the point." I said angrily. He was taking up to much time and class was going to start soon.

"Whatever, since she moved on, I need to move on too right?" He asked me.

"I don't know, it's your choice." I replied shrugging my arms.

"And my choice is, you have to be my girlfriend."

I let out a laugh in disbelief. He looked at me like I was crazy for laughing at what he said. I caught my breath and stood straight.

"You want me to be your girlfriend?" I asked.

"Yeah, that's what I said, didn't I? And it's not for real, it's just fake until Kaylee gets jealous and wants me back." He explained.

I was taken back by what he just said to me. It had to be fake? Not that I minded, but I had one specific question in my mind.

"Okay, but why me? There's hundreds of girls in this school that would kill to be your girlfriend."

"I chose you because if I picked one of those whores, it wouldn't seem real. Your the type of girl I would never date so it would seem like I've moved on from her."

I was offended by what he said. 'Your the type of girl I would never date' and how dare he call those girls whores. I wanted to give him a piece of my mind, but I held back.

"Fine, but what do I get in return?" I uttered.

"What?" He asked surprised by what I said.

"Well, you get your ex back, but what do I get?"

"You get to date me?" He said in a 'duh' tone.

I let out a annoyed sigh, "No, I want something in return."

"God your so hard to work with. What do you want? Money?" He asked.

When I heard the word 'money' my eyes lit up. No I wasn't those gold diggers, but my family and I have been struggling financially after my dad passed. So if I accept his offer, I could pay off the debts.

"Yeah sure, money."

"Okay, how much we talking?"

"500?" I suggested.

He was hesitant but he gave me a smirk.

"Deal." He said while putting his hands in his pocket and walking away.

I smiled back but then I remembered something.

"Wait!" I spoke making him turn back.

"What do you want now?" He responded angrily.

"Let's start after this week. If we start to soon, it'll be too obvious we're faking." I mentioned.

He nodded his head and started walking away again. I really didn't know what I had gotten myself into. Dating the star boy? This'll be harder than I thought.

I walked over to Andrew and Michaela. They just stared at me, signaling me to start talking about what just happened. I looked up at the clock and saw we had about 5 minutes left to the first bell.

"What?" I said confused.

"What do you mean 'what?' What did Zayn say to you!" Michaela exclaimed.

Andrew didn't say anything, he just looked at me waiting for my answer. I saw a glint of sadness in his eyes, but I didn't think anything of it.

"Oh, he just wanted to know if we had any classes together to you know, copy my work and stuff." I replied.

It was hard lying to my friends, but I knew in order for this "relationship" to work, I had to keep quiet. I guess senior year was not going to be like what I thought it would be.
