2. Shower thoughts

Thank you everyone for your kind words. They were a real ego booster 😊. I love the confidence y'all give me. I will probably post a couple of new chapters in the next few days. If you see any mistakes please let me now. English isn't my first language.

You didn't know a shower could be so soothing. It helpt you relax quite a bit, with helpt both with your cramps and migraine. You didn't want to let your guard down completely, even though the father and son were nice, they still kidnapped you.

You didn't know why they kidnapped you which frustrated you. You knew your father wasn't the upstanding citizen he portrait to be. He had a construction business but you knew he also smuggled drugs, weapons, hell maybe even people. Anything that could make him money. You knew what his side business was since you were a teenager. You still didn't know why your mother never figured out what your father did. He had at least 2 cellphones and his secretary carried a gun. Thom, his secretary was the worst secretary you ever met. He looked like a bouncer, like a bodybuilder on steroids. You weren't so superficial to link looks to intellect, but this man couldn't even answer the phone or schedule an appointment. And you also never met a secretary with a gun.

Maybe your mother knew what your father did, but did she just stuck her head in the sand while ignoring logic. She often condoned your father's actions. His screaming at you, always belittling what you did. What ever you did, it was never good enough. While your father was the one who acted angry at you, she always stood behind him never defended you. Like she was scared to speak against him, so he would leave her alone.

During the summer when you were 15, you helped your father at the reception desk. Thom was on holiday (was he though? Maybe he was doing some illegal shit for your father), so your father needed someone to answer the phones and make appointments with potential clients. You were allowed to use Thom's computer. He was really stupid you thought because he never hit evidence about the illigal part of the business. You could read all the emails, notes about meetings, encounters and notes about rivals.

Maybe that's why you were kidnapped but it didn't make sense to you. Why didn't they kidnap your father or Thom? Even your mother was a better candidate. Everyone knew your parents treated you horrible and that they didn't love you like parents should. Your father would never pay a ransom for you, like he would for your mother or Thom.

While you thought about everything that happend the last couple days you finished your shower and started to dry yourself. The towels were fluffy and luxurious. You had noticed before that all the products available to you were expensive. It felt strange, why would they give you these items while you were kidnapped. Wouldn't it make more sense to give you cheap stuff?
