(Fu Xuan POV)

It was warm, comfortable as I snuggled my head against my pillow, its familiar sweet, slightly musky scent making me feel snug and tingly inside. The pillow was oddly tough but, I enjoyed it nonetheless. My heart was cozy and at ease.

Mmm...

Memories of last night trickled into my head: how the maintainer surprised me in the middle of the night, how he pushed me against the wall so roughly and demanded we got closer~

Well, maybe it didn't exactly happen that way and I'm just being delusional again but, I'm happy the maintainer and I will restart our friendship. He gave me a second chance.

I don't remember what happened after our talk though. Everything after that was so fuzzy, huge holes in my memory. Wait... Was it all a dream!?!

I woke up in a cold sweat, my body snapping upward, panicked and breathing heavily. My eyes  opened wide as I scanned my surroundings. I was still in my office, on the couch even though there was a futon laid out on the floor.

I hear a soft ruffling from my side, and my eyes slowly turned toward it. His figure slowly came into view, starting from his feet. His shirt rode up his chest, revealing his hard, toned belly. My gaze kept rising until it finally reached his cute sleeping expression, which was facing me.

N- No way... D- D- Did I sleep with the maintainer!? Even though I promised myself to take things slowly this time??? ///

I was next to him, snuggling with him, still wearing just a shirt with nothing underneath...

My hands involuntarily raised to my cover my face as it grew painfully hot and my lower belly started feeling warm and tingly.

H- How did I forget my first time!?! I can't believe it! I vaguely remember him carrying me into the office but, to think he'd just lay me down and have his way with me!! How did I do? Did he enjoy it? Was mine weird!?

H- How did I forget my first time!?! I can't believe it! I vaguely remember him carrying me into the office but, to think he'd just lay me down and have his way with me!! How did I do? Did he enjoy it? Was mine weird!?

My face quickly became drenched in a nervous sweat as I stared at his innocent-looking expression. This close, it was clear how much bigger his body was compared to mine...

I leaned closer towards him, my breath growing heavy, chest burning. My hand reached out, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead, tracing his cheeks down to his jawline. His lips were slightly chapped, but a little wet, calling out to me through the heat, beckoning mine to come closer and closer, until they were barely an inch away from meeting...-

"Good morning, Diviner Fu."

I froze. My first thought was that the maintainer woke up, but his eyes were still closed, and most importantly, the voice belonged to a girl. My neck creaked, my eyes slowly prying away from the maintainer's face and towards that voice.

"Did you have a nice sleep~?"

Qingque was sitting at my desk, over the documents strewn over it. Her cheeks were slightly flush, but that did not diminish the mischievous grin painted across her face.

H- How long have you been here?

"Since before you sleepwalked through the cold we were nursing to cuddle with the maintainer, right up to where you about to steal a kiss from his lips fully awake and aware."

...

It was no longer just a mischievous grin, it was the smile of a demon.

"Y'know, I tried to pry you from him, to get you back under your sheets, but your arms were locked onto him like a vice grip, so I gave up. Oh, but I got a cute picture of it though."

She pulled out her jade abacus, showing off a photo of me with my arms around the maintainer's chest, a leg wrapped around his waist and my head resting on his arm with the happiest little smile on my face, drool at the corner of my mouth

Pure, unbridled evil. Qingque was the devil incarnate. I was in so much shock, my lips parting and closing like a fish out of water.

"Hahaha, don't worry, I'll delete the photo. I just wanted to tease you a little is all. Get washed up and dressed, it's almost ten. You wouldn't want your darling the maintainer to see you all messy, right?"

I pouted as hard as I possibly could, making sure my dissatisfaction was apparent on my face, before I stood up and softly walked to the bathroom, making sure to fill every footstep with as much spite as possible.

Well, I wasn't that angry to be fair, just really, really embarrassed. But I was also relieved. So the maintainer and I didn't go all the way yet after all... It'd suck to not remember your first time with someone you loved. ///

As my head cleared up in the shower and all those fantasies left my head, more memories of last night came back to me. I didn't realize it, but I had gotten a bad cold from all the all-nighters I pulled when I shut myself inside. The only reason I didn't feel it, or maybe I ignored it, was all the stress from everything.

So when the maintainer came, I guess I must've just been so happy and relieved to the point where all the anxiety and stress left my body in one go, making me weak in the legs, causing me to collapse on the spot.

Vague images of the maintainer's panicked face passed through my mind as the water from the showerhead ran down my hair. He must've stayed up all night taking care of me.

...I've caused him and Qingque so much trouble. I'll be sure to thank them both once I'm dressed.

-- or at least that was the intention, but when I came out of the closet all dressed up, I was met with the sight of a portable Celestial Jade set ready on the coffee table, hot tea prepared on two ends, one of which was manned by Qingque.

"We still have an hour left until our shifts begin, Diviner Fu."

That is indeed true, Diviner Qingque. I presume you'd like a game of Celestial Jade to pass time until then?

"That and... tell me everything that happened. I only came after the maintainer called and told me you were sick. He didn't tell me much of what actually happened. I want details damn it! Details!"

I quickly shuffled to the opposite side of Qingque, an excited spring in my step. I'm sure I was grinning from ear-to-ear like an idiot, but Qingque leaned forward, ready to hear me out.

I took a quick glance at the maintainer to make sure he was asleep.

Okay, so I was moping around my room when I heard...

...We ended spending a little too long chatting, and ended being an hour and a half late for our shift. Huixing scolded us both, but we told her the maintainer was on sick leave, he deserved the rest.
