"Just make it work!" You whined at Luke as he jammed the keys in the car engine forcefully.

"I am!" He muttered as he twisted the keys round, bending and pulling at them. He jammed the keys in one last time and twisted, there was a low humming and a growl from the engine as the car sprang back to life, Luke cheered and threw his arms into the air in celebration, forgetting about the key momentarily and jumping in his seat. His cheering was cut off by loud crack and a clatter as the key snapped in half and the car came to a silence once more.

"You bloody idiot!" You shouted at him, smacking him around the head.

"I didn't exactly mean to do that." He defended himself.

"Yes, but now we're stuck here until we get help in a non heated car, in the middle of bloody nowhere and when its absolutely freezing outside." You said angrily as you pulled your knees up to the seat, wrapping your arms around your folded legs.

"And why were we out here in the middle of nowhere, Y/N?" He spat sarcastically. "Yep, that's right. For your sisters wedding, that you just insisted we had to go to so if you want to blame someone, blame yourself."

You scowled at him in annoyance, he was right. "Shut up, Luke." And he did the little 'ha I'm right' smirk that he knew you hated. You sat in silence for a few minutes while Luke called for someone to pick us up and you only grew more annoyed when Luke informed you that it could take up to 6 hours for them to send help.

"Baby, I'm sorry." Luke sighed out of nowhere.

"What?" You frowned.

"This is my fault. I was the one who insisted taking the long way home and it was my fault the key snapped."

"Apology accepted." You smiled at him, proud that for once, you had won the argument. From the corner of your eye you saw him drop his head in sadness and glare down at his feet. You tried your best to ignore his guilty and miserable face but you couldn't help feeling a pang of guilt.

"No, Luke, its my fault too, I'm the only reason we're even out here at this time of night." You shrugged at him and he smiled back, all was forgiven. His eyes ran over you and he noticed the goosebumps that had arisen on your arms and gestured for you to climb onto his lap, which you willingly did so.

Once you had comfortably adjusted yourself on his lap he wrapped his long arms around you, allowing you to snuggle your head into the crook of his neck, the scruff on his chin itched the top of your head a little but you didn't care, you felt so safe and loved in his arms.

"I hate when we argue." He sighed outwardly, his warm breath making you shiver a little and causing him to tighten his grip on you.

"I know, me too." You said sadly.

"How about we just make a promise to not argue anymore?"

"I like that idea." You smiled to yourself and clung to him even harder, making yourself another promise to never let him go.

Wow its been a while since I updated but I've just been so ridiculously busy with college recently and I just haven't had the chance to write but college is nearing an end thankfully so I should be able to update more frequently again.
