Inside the conference room after everyone had been seated in their respective places, the hosts are about to begin the preliminary proceedings before the main event goes live.
"Good evening Europe, welcome to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.After the first two semi-finals we have our top countries who will be performing in the grand finals."Hannah announced enthusiastically.
"Yes and we have a surprise for all fans present here and watching throughout the world."Graham announced.
"Before the grand finals we have a few select past Eurovision winners who will be performing tonight as a prelude to the main event which will take place in the coming week."Hannah announced resulting in a roar from the crowd in approval.
"However, there is a twist.One lucky fan will get to perform on this stage live any song they would like.This will be decided by one of our spotlights placed above the room which will shine on any one of you from the crowd"Graham announced sending the fans into shock and excitement.
As the announcements were going on Emmelie was engaged in conversation with another two past winners of the contest.Alexander won the contest for Norway all the way back in 2009 with his hit song Fairytale and Lena won the following year for Germany with her song Satellite.
"Oh my god Alexander, Lena I've been a huge fan of your songs especially my parents."Emmelie said.
"The pleasure is ours Emmelie and don't forget you are Eurovision royalty too"Alexander replied back.
"Alexander is right, when I first heard your song I was hooked onto it."Lena replied
"Thanks guys, its crazy how Eurovision has changed our lives.I can't imagine where we would be now if we didn't take part."Emmelie replied thoughtfully.
"I know right but we got to give credit to the fans out there who loved our music and believe in us to this day"Alexander replied.
"Emmelie if you don't mind me asking a question."Lena asked.
"Sure ask away"Emmelie replied while sipping her drink.
"You won the contest almost ten years ago and are now approaching the peak of your career right"Lena asked.
"I guess so, I mean there is still so much more to experience."Emmelie replied.
"I see but what I meant to ask is do you have someone special in your life now, maybe someone you met recently."Lena asked while smirking.
"W-what no there hasn't been anyone special not recently at least."Emmelie replied almost choking on her drink while she went bright red.
"Your face tells a different story you know."Lena replied smoothly.
"Alright there may be a guy but how did you know?"Emmelie inquired.
"I may or may not have heard this from Alexander who was told by a fellow countryman of his"Lena replied.
"Alessandra"Emmelie mumbled out loud sighing to herself.
"Bingo"Lena replied.
"Fine I met him a few hours ago at the most his name is Max and he seems like a good guy but i barely know him and have no idea who he is."Emmelie replied.
"Interesting"Alexander replied curiously.
"Oh stop with the teasing, we have to get ready for our performances"Emmelie replied a blushing mess at this point.
Meanwhile Max was sat in the complete front of the room hoping to get the best view of the performances.As the show went on he was completely mesmerised by the songs.He liked the songs of Alexander and Lena and even recognised Loreen as one of the girls he saw earlier when he met in his eyes the most beautiful girl to ever exist on the planet.As he was about to get up something caught his eye.He saw his mystery girl getting onto the stage as the announcer introduced her.It was an understatement to say Max was shell shocked.
"Let us now welcome the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 for Denmark with her song Only Teardrops, the amazing Emmelie de Forest."Graham announced.
"So that's her name"Max mumbled to himself completely stuck to his seat now not wanting to miss this performance.

"Thank you Liverpool, thank you so much"Emmelie shouted into the microphone as she ended her performance and left the stage.
Max on the other hand couldn't stop gaping and if he could fall harder for this girl he just did.Every feature about her was pure perfection for him and that made him happy and nervous at the same time.He wanted to go and see her and congratulate her on a splendid performance as well as apologising for the coffee incident earlier on.However as he was about to leave suddenly a beam of light shone on him.
A/N:
I just wanted to thank everyone for 35 reads for me that is a big number but, what I mainly want to tell you guys is that if you don't watch Eurovision you are missing out big time.If you would've already noticed the reason why I chose Emmelie and Max as the protagonists of this story because they are my all time favorites.Max is just an incredible driver and if you also don't watch Formula 1 please go and watch it, it's more than cars going round in circles.Emmelie on the other hand is a wonderful singer and Only Teardrops is my favorite song of all time not just because of Emmelie but also because of the beautiful lyrics which have such a deep meaning to them.
