Grace laughed as Cassie ran around the park. Ms. Wilson, the orphanage lady, told Grace she could look after Cassie for a couple of hours. She was rather nice to Grace.

"Cassie come on it's starting to rain" Grace called to the squealing girl

"Yo" someone called she turned and saw Amelia

"Hey" Grace said. "Shouldn't you be at the meeting?"

"I left halfway. They started talking about the Royals" she grumbled and Grace sighed

She had heard of the Royals. Her mom. Or Fiona. Had told her about them. Grace was still upset about the letter

Grace looked over at Cassie and saw her near the river leaning in

"CASSIE NO" She screamed but it was too late.

Cassie had toppled over and fell in. She screamed and tried to grab on to something. Grace ran over with Amelia

"GRAB MY HAND" Grace commanded and Cassie did

Grace tried to pull her up but Amelia accidentally knocked into her and they both fell in

"Great Amelia" Grace snapped over the strong winds. She held a crying Cassie close

Sorry" Amelia said sheepishly

"We have to get her out" Grace screamed and Amelia nodded

They hoisted Cassie up and threw her to the shore she started coughing like mad. Amelia hoisted herself up and reached for Grace.

She saw Jason run up. He looked furious as he held Cassie close and then he saw his brothers mate in the river and mind linked him.

Grace tried to grab her hand but the current pulled her. She kicked and struggled and she cried. But the darkness and the water surrounded her and she gave up

Then a hand grabbed her and pulled her out and started yelling but she couldn't hear anything

Pack Hospital

"Logan-" Amelia tried to say but he snarled at her

He was furious. First he made his mate cry, then she almost drowned

'IT'S ALL AMELIA'S FAULT' His wolf screamed

His wolf did not like the idea of his mate dying and neither did he

'PUNISH HER!!!' His wolf roared and he started shaking

He saw Cassie crying in Jason's arms. She was scared and frightened. She thought it was all her fault and so did Logan. But she was only kid. She didn't know any better.

"Logan, sweetie calm down" Leah said to her son placing a hand on his shoulder

"No I can't" he growled. "My mate is dying"

"Technically you did CPR on her and she is alive......" Amelia said and Logan glared as he paced

"Logan man she'll be alright" Jason croaked out

He looked horrible. Cassie whimpered in his shoulder.

The doctor came out and Logan was in front of him in a second

"Well?" he growled

"She's fine" the doctor said and Logan let out the breath he was holding

"Told ya" Jason mumbled as he buried his head in Cassie's neck

"Can we see her?" Amelia asked

"Yes" he said and Logan was already in the room and holding Grace's hand

She groaned and opened her eyes

"What happened?" she croaked out

"You almost drowned" Cassie said as she clung to Grace

"Almost?" she asked

"Logan came in time and he and Jason pulled you out" Amelia explained Grace looked at Logan

"Why?" she whispered and he started shaking

"Why?" he hissed. "Why? BECAUSE YOUR MY MATE!!!!" She flinched

"Bro your scaring her" Jason said

"Logan!!" he heard someone yell he turned and saw his mother and father burst in with the Elders

"Grace!! Oh Grace" his mother cried as she hugged her

"I'm fine Mrs. Anderson" Grace whispered

"FINE??" Roared Logan, "You almost drowned!!!!"

"Almost" Grace said, "If it wasn't for you"

Logan stopped shaking and his gaze softened

"Logan, my son you saved her" his father said

"I would do anything for her" he whispered more to himself

Amelia tried to cover up a giggle and Logan glared. Grace sighed

"Come" Leah said to her children and Cassie. "Give her rest"

She took a sleepily Cassie in her arms and everyone left but Logan he bit his lip and looked like he could cry

"I thought you died today" he croaked out and she shifted

"But I didn't" Grace pointed out he sighed

"But you could have" Logan said

"Alpha" someone said they turned and saw a wolf come in he did not take notice in Grace

"William wants to talk to you" he said Logan nodded and the boy left after giving Grace a look which she ignored

"Who's William?" she asked

"No one" he growled clenching his fist. Then she placed her hand on his and he relaxed

"He used to be the beta of the Royal Pack" Logan said and Grace gasped Logan closed his eyes

"But I thought they were all killed?" She asked

"So did I" Logan muttered. "Guess we were both wrong"

He stood up sighing and looked down at his mate who yawned. He chuckled

"Goodnight Grace" he whispered and placed a kiss on her forehead. "Sweet dreams" and he left

William? The name repeated in her head. And for some reason it sounded familiar. Like she had heard it before. But it was impossible. Right?

Grace was released from the hospital the next day. She was recalling her adoptive mothers letter. Her birth mom had left her a letter? But where was it? She didn't now where she was going and slammed in to someone. Before she could fall they caught her

"Hey gorgeous I was just coming to see you" she heard Logan say

Grace blushed when he called her gorgeous

"Hello Alpha" she whispered looking down so her hair fell in front of her face.

He growled and lifted her chin up tucking her hair behind her ear

"Never hide your face from me" he whispered in her ear she shivered and blushed again

"You blush a lot" he pointed out. "It's cute"

Grace giggled and his face lit up at the sound

"Come on" he grabbed her hand and pulled her along somewhere

"Where are we going?" she asked

"I'm taking you out!" he said smiling

"Where?" she asked

"It's a surprise" he said and she pouted he laughed. "I was wrong thats way cuter"

But before they could take another step they heard a screech

"WHAT THE HELL!!!" Amy screamed
