Chapter 2

Luz's POV:

I was walking towards my new school, Hexide, as I was starting there today. Since I chose to stay in the dorms, I brought some clothes and necessities from the human realm that I managed to sneak in from my house. Along with a note to my mom saying I was staying with a friend for a few months as I got lonely

I was enjoying the peace and silence, listening to music from my new scroll, (now that Eda bought me one) when I came across to girls

One had long green dyed hair that went halfway down her back and a half ponytail, golden eyes, wearing a Hexide crop top (since the seniors at Hexide got to were what they wanted) and a pink skirt, and I wasn't gonna lie, she was kinda hot

The other one had a yellow trench coat with a black shirt tucked into beige track pants, green eyes and dark turquoise hair

"Oh, Willow. I didn't see you there" The green haired witch said

"Oh, hey Amity" Willow said, glumly

"What're you doing out here, hmm? Practicing your plant magic, half a witch?" Willow flinched at that, a pained look appearing on her face

I assumed that was used as a term of bullying in this Realm. Willow looked like she was 2 times physically stronger than Amity, but for some reason, she didn't fight back. I respected that

"I asked you a question, half. A. Witch" Amity smacked a plant out of Willow's hands, and I crossed the line

"Hey!" I said, coming out the bush. I was 5'8, so I was pretty intimidating judging by how I was built and taller than Amity and Willow "back of, greenie"

"Huh?" Amity looked at me and smirked "a human, eh? What do you think you can do? I'm the most powerful abomination user at Hexide. The top student. You can't face me"

"I don't care what I can and can't do. I do what I want to" I stated, pushing her to the side and standing in between the two of them. Willow looked at me in surprise, wondering how I had so much confidence

Amity scoffed "yeah, sure, human. Believe as you may. I'll leave you and this half a witch alone, but only because I find you kind of cute" she stepped back and twirled around on her heal, drawing a spell circle to summon abomination goo(as Eda taught me) to carry her away

I turned around to face Willow, and helped her pick up her flower
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked her

"I, um, I'm fine, actually. No one besides Augustus stands up for me. Thank you. I'm Willow Park. What's your name?" She asked

"Oh, I'm Luz Noceda. I just joined Hexide" I answered

"Nice to meet you, Luz. I'm at Hexide too. And I assume since you have a duffle bag, you're staying the dorms. That was Amity Blight, by the way. Top student as you heard. But, is it true?"

"Is what true?"

"That you're human?"

"Yeah. Yeah I am. Apparently I'm not the first. That's how I learnt these glyphs"

"Yeah. There was another human here before you. Their name was Phillip Wittebane. We don't know what happened to him. Probably went back to the human realm"

"Huh, well, shall we get to school?" I asked

"Yeah" Willow responded as we walked together to Hexide

Willow was actually quite a nice person to talk to, unlike those sluts, dunces, douches and many more at my old school. She was funny and chill too. I could let myself a bit loose, and she didn't mind, but instead, enjoyed my presence
